Zelda is a 6-year-old Bolognaise mix in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation

Zelda was a gift from my mom. She's been in my life for 7 amazing years. She is my only dog but has brothers and sisters she adores. She is sensitive and caring more so than any other animal I have ever known. She is very jealous. She doesn't like it if I talk to anyone else and gets in my face and licks me to death. Summers her favorite time of year. She loves swimming and water hoses.

In the last 6 years we have spent a total of 4 nights apart. She's a registered support dog and goes everywhere with me. She loves talking hikes in the mountains. She plays fetch like none other. Now that glaucoma has taken her sight she has learned to play fetch by scent and does an amazing job finding her favorite pink bacon scented ball. She's the highlight of my life.

I'm on social security disability. I can barely afford to pay for her meds much less the $4k surgery. I cannot imagine life without her and seeing her in pain is gut wrenching. This surgery is long overdue but with Covid I have been unable to earn extra $$. We need help.

Several months ago she got a really bad eye infection. It led to glaucoma in 1 eye and it eventually spread to her other leaving her completely blind. It's a very painful condition. Her doctor said she needs both eyes removed and if she doesn't get the surgery he wants to put her down. That isn't an option. She takes 6 drops 3 times a day that are expensive and time consuming but worth it.

Zelda sits on her hind legs and begs. If she has a voice she would say "please please please." She begs at workers when we go thru drive thru restaurants and everyone falls in love with her sweet personality and perfect hair. She always attracts a crowd. She loves anyone who will throw her ball and in a group of people she never leaves anyone out. She makes sure everyone gets a chance to play.
