Zero is a 5-year-old Pitbull mix in Lake Mary, FL, who needs $1,300 for surgery for a ruptured knee.

Zero joined our family in the fall of 2015. My husband adopted Zero from our local municipality animal control shelter and she immediately fit in to our family with our 3 kids. Our family's favorite movie is Disney's 'Nightmare Before Christmas' and was named after Zero the ghost dog in the movie. She is a very smart, sweet dog who loves people and only wants to please.

We got Zero as I was dealing with PTSD symptoms from a trauma a few years earlier. She stayed by my side every minute and allowed me to cry and licked my tears. She was a constant comfort for me through the darkest time of depression. I still suffer from depression and anxiety and she makes sure i'm never alone. She was there for me at the worst time of my life and helped me stay alive - it breaks my heart not to be able to do the same for her. After being there for me for 4 years, she deserves better.
