Zeus is a 3-year-old Pitbull in Upland, CA, who needs $2,000 for Right TPLO Surgery.

We rescued Zeus from a couple in a very bad area in LA County who was about to dump him to just anyone because he was a runt and not the size of his siblings. When we got him he was very malnutrition and very dirty. Zeus lacks muscle mass in his back end, always has. Which made him not sellable which I’m glad because now we have him.

Now he lives in a loving home where he is our baby! He has such a sweet soul and he has two cat siblings and a sister named Honeybear (our lab). He loves us all so much and shows us daily by laying on our feet, leaning against our legs and cuddling with us every moment he gets. He’s very spoiled and he loves to sleep next to one of us every night.

Zeus is fascinated by lizards! He loves to get close to them and then gets scared when he gets close to them after catches up to them. He’s so silly! He has the sweetest eyes. He expresses himself through the way he looks at you. He even smiles! He’s just such a loving soul. Zeus will be the first one to greet you when waking in the house and will never leave your side.

This is an urgent situation as the longer Zeus lives with this problem the worse it gets. His ACL was injured last august, he had surgery this past October by a dr that was highly recommended but come to find out, the surgery performed shouldn’t be performed on dogs of Zeus’s size. The wire that is supposed to be holding his upper and lower joints together on his knee has already broken.

In the past 1.5 years our family lost our grandma suddenly, Our dog honeybear had to have surgery to remove cancer, and we had to put one of our beloved cats down due to severe anemia. All these expenses have put a strain on being able to afford another surgery.
