Zeusy is a 1-year-old Maine Coon in New York, NY, who needs $1,950 for oxygen treatment for pneumonia.

Zeusy is not even 2 years old. I got him when he was just 4 months, skinny and terrified, so my other cat bumble could have a brother, right after my former cat Jackie had passed. It took him months to open up to us. We live in an apartment in the city. Zeusy is a very vocal feline, a little reserved and shy around guests, but very loving with us.

Zeusy lives with my husband and I, our other cat Bum and our precious puppy Pokie, in a NY apt. Most of the day Zeusy is resting on his cat tree, when he is of off it, you’ll find him playing soccer with his kibble food. He does not like Pokie very much but he is inseparable from his feline brother Bum. They eat together, sleep together and groom each other all the time.

I lost my job due to the pandemic and my husband was recently made off as well. Every day of hospitalization cost is a little over $4k. We do have pet insurance but it has a limit of $5k, but our bill has already exceeded $12k. We need assistance please 🥺

As of last Saturday, Zeus has been hospitalized at blue pearl in Manhattan with severe Pneumonia. 3 days prior I had noticed he was coughing every few hours, but no other signs of illness were shown. He was playful, eating, drinking and using his litter box. On Saturday I noticed he coughed out some discharge and immediately took him to the hospital. Since then he has been hospitalized.

Why is Zeusy special to me is such a hard question. I think any cat I had ever owned was as special as him. And any cat that I will ever own would probably be as special as well.
But I think the most unique behavior Zeusy has adopted is singing for attention! Yes! I can try to upload a video of his singing. Only writing about it puts a huge smile on my face.
