About this campaign

8-year-old Ziggy was surrendered to Ten Lives Cat Rescue after his guardian was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for him. He is currently in a foster home while he prepares for adoption, including receiving care for diabetes.

On Monday evening (5/13), Ziggy appeared low energy and only ate part of his dinner. He was otherwise fine and monitored closely overnight by his foster parents. The following day (5/14), Ziggy vomited multiple times and collapsed while walking towards his foster parents. He was rushed to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists where he was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and hospitalized.

Ziggy is an outgoing and curious feline who has never met a stranger. He has a big personality and has so much love to give. Ziggy loves snuggling with his foster parents. When he's around, you feel like you're his favorite person.

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based rescue is 100% volunteer-powered and community-supported.
