Ziggy is a 10-year-old Chiweenie in Surprise, AZ, who needs $1,500 for Oral Surgery/Extraction & Cherry Eye treatment.

Ziggy, is named after a David Bowie song, he's been my buddy since he was 8 weeks old. In 2012, I was heading to the store, where I saw a sign that said free puppies...$160 later and a near tussle with another patron who wanted him, I brought Ziggy home in my hand. He fit perfectly and slept until we to home.

Ziggy came into my home after one pet had passed and after I adopted his brother. Rasta, another rescue from the highway, basically trained and raised Ziggy. They became two peas in a pod, very loving and sweet boys. They played together, they clean each other, they sun bathe together and most importantly, they snuggle with my elderly dad when I go out to do errands.

I have not worked since December 2019, due to the pandemic. The assistance funds promised, I didn't receive in time and then they ended, so I have a bill to pay before my other two dogs can seek care. The Vet is amazing and I really want to pay them.

Ziggy had 32 teeth pulled, he was suffering with absessed teeth and had difficulty eating hard food. I had recently moved, then the pandemic hit and I had to find a vet fast. Ziggy is very healthy overall but he had serious dental issues and Surprise Animal Hospital was the absolute right choice for my fur babies.

When Ziggy was a puppy, there was a dog howling contest for a lifetime of dog food, so I tried to get him to howl on camera. It was like every time a camera was raised, he would stop. Needless to say, I didn't get it on tape but Ziggy now howls perfectly. He even stands on his hind legs and howls while you scratch his exposed belly.
