Zimba is a 3 year old Argentine Dogo in HIALEAH, FL, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Surgery.

We rescued Zimba from a house in which the owner had him trapped in a cage for long periods. He did this because he claimed he didn't have the conditions to let him free. We asked him to let us keep the dog, and he agreed. As of now, we are keeping him in a larger front yard and back yard, which are connected. We also let him inside the house constantly to spend time with the family.

Zimba was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia mid July. We noticed that he was struggling to walk continuously without tripping over his hind legs. This eventually worsened to the point where he can barely to run and play like the average dog his age. Now, he is always lying down and resting on his bed. The hospital name is "Gardens Animal Hospital."

Zimba has plenty of adorable habits that make him unique. Instead of licking to show affection, he nibbles on your face or finger. Whenever we pet him, he puts up his front paw so we can hold it while we keep rubbing his back. He loves it when we play with his ears. He loves taps on his chest. He is very loyal and protective of his family.

We have a large debt with the SBA we are struggling to pay off; our income has decreased by 50% due to high fuel prices and inflation. It hurts to see him not enjoy life the way he once did. We'd be grateful if people would give him the chance to live normally again.
