Zoey is a 2-year-old Put bull in Poplarville, MS, who needs $2,000 for Zoey.

My son wanted a dog so we wanted to adopt from the shelter. We immediately fell in love with Zoey we needed her as much as she needed us at the time. She always looked out for us and my grandbabies as well as our other pets. Tragically she was ran over by an automobile that didn't even stop. I was on my way outside to walk her and she ran out before me and I was distracted and she ran ahead of me.

She is such a joy to our family, I love her like a child and feel like I am falling apart just at the thought of losing her. I can not stop crying. My son can't even express his emotions because he is so hurt. Zoey was amazing with all of my grandbabies no matter what age. We can not bare the thought of life without her love.

I recently had to leave my job because I am disabled and have filed for disability but am waiting on a decision. I have been barely making ends meet and have used up my savings while awaiting my disability decision. Zoey is like my therapy dog because of my bad anxiety.

She is in gulf coast veterinary hospital in Biloxi, MS clinging to her precious life. If she gets stable she will have to have a front leg amputated because it is crushed. The other is dislocated and can be easily repaired. Her lungs are very bruised and have lots of confusions. They have her sedated and are draining fluid with hopes of them being strong enough for surgery.

Her best friend is my yorkie and they have so much fun and are so mischievous together. I feel that my yorkie will grieve herself to death without her best friend. Zoey is so funny because she thinks she is a lap dog. She is so spoiled and loves her toys. She also loves the grandbabies toys too. I love her so much!
