Abandoned with major tumors and irritated skin plagued by fleas, Zuki needs help to heal

When neighbors first saw Zuki, she was sitting in the same spot, day after day, for three long days. She never moved far, never stopped watching, waiting for someone who she soon learned would never come back.

By the time D&A Animal Rescue arrived, this poor girl’s condition broke our hearts. Zuki’s body tells a story of long-term neglect and suffering. Her eye is badly infected, and a tumor has grown above it, causing her obvious pain. She also has a massive mammary gland tumor larger than her own head, and her body is covered in fleas and inflamed skin. Even her anus is swollen and raw, showing just how much this sweet soul has endured.

Despite all this, Zuki still wags her tail and leans in gently for comfort, as if she knows she’s finally safe. She now urgently needs your help to begin her journey toward healing.
Zuki will require immediate veterinary care, including diagnostics, surgery to remove her tumors, treatment for her infection, and relief for her inflamed skin. The cost of her care is overwhelming for our small rescue, but we refuse to give up on her.

Update 10/23/25

Zuki is doing good! She’s been resting comfortably and receiving lots of love and care. Her surgery is scheduled for next week, and we’re hopeful that it will be the next big step toward her recovery and a pain-free life.
