Zuma is a 6 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Midway City, CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI & Surgery / Medication to ease the pain.

In 2018, my family and I welcomed Zuma into our lives, and since then, he has made a profound impact on us and everyone around him. Although he was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, we were unable to afford surgery. Despite this, we've been doing everything we can to give him the best life possible.

Zuma began having trouble walking. His hind legs were weak and seemed numb. We took him to the vet, and unfortunately, an MRI is needed for a more accurate diagnosis, which is expected to cost at least $5-6k. Depending on the results, surgery may be required, which could add another $6-10k. At this point, we know it's related to a spinal issue.

Zuma is such an expressive dog; we can always tell how he’s feeling just by looking at his face. He thrives on routine, too. Every morning, he wakes up early and waits by the door, ready to take my brothers to school. He’s a big fan of car rides. Once it gets dark, he’s right back at the door, waiting for my parents to come home from work, knowing that’s when he gets his treat!
