Zuri is a 1-year-old French Bulldog in Edgewood , MD, who needs $2,000 for Calcium Removal.

After 8 years of marriage my wife finally agreed to getting a puppy. She was a gift from a friend of a friend. We got Zuri when she was 4 months old and she is now 15 months old. My wife named her and she has been a blessing since we’ve had her.

When Zuri was younger she slept in her bed next to ours but when she turned a year old on September 27, 2023 she started sleeping on the couch downstairs, she’s a big girl now. She loves to walk around the track at the high school and she loves to play fetch with her small rubber tire. Beggin strips are her favorite treat.

As you can see from her video Zuri loved her first time experiencing the snow. She’s so special to my wife and I because we both lost our sons to gun violence in Baltimore city. So Zuri is our baby that brings joy and love to us both mutually.

Last week Zuri was not herself and we took her to Edgewood Veterinary Hospital in Edgewood Maryland. They said she was in extreme pain and the X-ray’s show she has a calcium build up on her spine by her tail bone. The vet Dr Moffa said he never witnessed this condition in such a young dog. He said she would need to see a specialist for major surgery. She’s on pain medication and steroids.

Things have been super tight since my wife lost her job during Covid. It will mean the world to us to have our Zuri back to normal running around and being herself again.
