Duster, a gentle stray dog, came to the care of Stray Animal Foundation of India in heartbreaking condition. He was suffering from a severely infected eye injury, likely left untreated for far too long. The infection caused significant pain and discomfort, yet through it all, Duster has remained incredibly sweet — leaning into gentle touches and showing nothing but love to the people trying to help him. Despite his suffering, Duster’s spirit shines. He craves kindness, seeks affection, and trusts the very humans who are now working to save his sight and ease his pain. Duster is currently receiving urgent veterinary care, including diagnostics to determine the extent of the damage, medications to control infection and inflammation, and ongoing treatment to give him the best possible chance at recovery. Depending on how he responds, he may also require additional procedures to protect his long-term comfort and quality of life. As a stray, Duster has no family to cover these unexpected medical costs — but he now has all of us. Our beloved pet recently had to undergo life saving emergency surgery. He’s truly family to us. He’s the friendliest, sweetest boy… honestly just a big baby. I can’t imagine our life without him, especially at such a young age. He’s not just a pet he’s my first pet, my best friend, and such an important part of our home. If you’re able to donate, would mean more to us than we can express. He recently had to undergo emergency surgery for bloat, a life-threatening condition where his stomach twisted. It happened suddenly and required immediate care to save his life. He was treated at Veterinary Emergency Group, and while the surgery was successful, the unexpected cost has been overwhelming for our family. He’s the sweetest, most loving boy. He’s super friendly, loves to play fetch, and is always excited for hikes and adventures. He adores his sisters and is very protective of them. He’s outgoing, full of personality, and honestly just a big baby who brings so much love and joy into our home every day. This is my Beautiful Furbaby Kali. She is 8 years old and the Love of my life. I watched as she and her sister were born into this world. Wherever I go she is right next to me. She even sleeps with me. She us right there, the first thing I see before going to sleep and tge first thing I see when I open my eyes. I'm am seeking help with an upcoming visit to her Veterinarian. About 3 days ago I was sleeping midmorning and she woke me up screaming and yelping on her dog bed on the floor next to my bed. I literally sat up shaking. I'm not sure what happened. I might have kicked her out of bed or she tried to jump off the bed and caught her leg in the bed frame. One of her back legs is hurt. I would never hurt my precious girl on purpose. She is like my baby. She has my son's dog and cat and my Rescue izzy that I Rescued 4 years ago. I wouldn't know what my world would be like without her. The Vet that we use is in Media,IL. I am struggling just to pay a couple of bills to be able to keep working. I just can't manage to pay a huge Veterinarian bill right now. It makes me so sad to see her in pain. 😪😪

Dixie was left here with me from ex-girlfriend who left and didn't want the dog. Dixie was her name when she came into my life. Dixie and 2 cats live with me. My pets have been my rock since cutting my wrist with saw and my cancer I have. I am not sure what is needed for Dixie. She has cherry eye,enlarged breast,lump in belly and drinks a lot of water. Have not been to vet due to financial problems. Not sure if age will or would be a factor either. Dixie has Ivy and Midnight (cats) that live with her. Dixie love when people pet her and wants her belly rubbed all the time. Wants to go for walks all the time. Everybody loves her and how smart she is. Social security and not much left after paying bills. Having Dixie healthy again would be like when she first came into my life. She deserves to have her life healthy and happy.

I don't know much about him he followed us home one day i took him in fed him gave him a safe place until his owners would get him no one came. Then dash came back to my house but this time he was hurt. I tookdash to the vet this morning april 9 2025 they informed me that his femur is broken in two different places and needs surgery to fix it the leg. And he liver is elevated. His a very mild sweet dog he gets a long with kids and other dogs doesn't back or bite. He was a stray i brought him in my yard hoping someone would recognize him. But no one came forward then one more he escaped and came back a week later On Tuesday early morning my Godson was going to work and he found him in front of his car. So he grab him brought him into my out i was taking care of until I was able to get to a vet. I did post him on social media looking for his owners but no one has come forward.

Hoagie came into our life 12 years ago. I'll never forget the day my son brought him home holding him and nothing but his hand. We had several cats at that time and two other dogs they fell in love with Hoagie as well. Hoagie has brought so much love to our lives. He loves to cuddle he loves to sleep with us he loves to be rocked to sleep still at 12 years old. Hoagie was diagnosed with a hernia. It is right next to his bottle so he has to take medication three times a day so that he is able to have bowel movements. In the last week Hoagie has been struggling to urinate. We found out yesterday that unfortunately his bladder is now involved and has gone into the hernia as well. Now we are on a short timeline before we will lose him to a ruptured bladder. Hoagie is a stubborn little dachshund. Filled with personality. He is so intelligent almost like speaking to a human we often feel he totally understands what we are saying. The love he has given us is like no other animal has ever given us before. The thought of him not being in our family is unbearable. He gets super excited when we come home to greet us. All he wants to do is love and cuddle. The surgery is going to run around $5,000. Unfortunately I am unemployed due to the fact I take care of my mother who has dementia. I am trying to reach out to any organizations and trying to find a vet that will accept payment plans but they're just not out there.

Kinlee spent the first 6 years of life in an Amish puppy mill, living in a very tiny cage and forced to make A LOT of babies. When she was no longer of use to the puppy mill, she was rescued locally. I had lost my previous pup Charlie a few month before and was finally ready to find a new furbaby. I adopted Kinlee in November 2023 and was in love right away! Immediately, I took her to her vet for a check up only to find out she had mast cell carcinoma. Another person may have given Kinlee back to the rescue due to the high cost of that surgery but I did not hesitate to make sure she got the treatment she needed. I recently finished paying off the mast cell surgery not too long ago. Kinlee is an absolute doll and loved by everyone. Sweet, loving, and a major cuddle bug. She has slowly learned to be a DOG after years of living in a cage. She and her Boston Terrier brother, Ronan (also adopted and former puppy mill dog) are best buddies and rarely apart from each other. They both have separation anxiety and depend on each other to get through my work days. I am currently on a fixed income, with little in reserve. Kinlee's previous surgery for mast cell was alot to manage, and this new diagnosis completely blindsided me. I am trying everything I can to raise the funds to give Kin the quality of life she deserves. Thank you!

Frankie been in my life for over 6 years. We live currently in motel room due to my life being threatened. Frankie has his mom Grace who has Arthritis and he lost his sister 2 years ago. Getting very financially hard don't want out him down or I will totally loose it. I already had bury his sister 2 years ago and my sister 3 years ago. Frankie has been to vetinary 2 times due to being a diabetic and is now officially blind in both eyes I love this boy so much and feel so bad for him that he can't see my face or enjoy the beauty outside or play hard with his ball. He lived to chase and kick ball outside. He ate trying to o get is diabetic under control but getting very hard financially on me. Frankie is very special to me. If he not in my life I feel very miserable he brings me joy in life. He is my everything. He lives playing with his balls. He loves his mom and dad. Dr at vet trying figure out his diabetic control level. So having to keep taking him every 2 weeks get glucose curve. Getting very financially difficult and hate put him down. I am working 2 jobs just trying to make a living and take care of my two dogs health. It is pouring hard in my life now with all problems being thrown at me with dogs health and mine and car problems bills adding up fast. Just want get his diabetic under control.
