Charlie

Please help this sweet boy get the fast kill treatment for heart worms.

Washington, NC • Have A Heart Rescue

Charlie is only two years old—a young Plott Hound mix with so much life still ahead of him, but has unfortunately, tested heartworm positive. Heartworm is a serious and potentially fatal condition if left untreated. It slowly damages the heart and lungs, making even simple things—like running, playing, or just breathing comfortably—more and more difficult. And for a young dog like Charlie, it’s heartbreaking to know his life could be cut short without help. The good news is that there \\\_is\\\_ a solution and Have a Heart Rescue acted quickly. Their vet recommended the fast-kill heartworm treatment, which will give Charlie the best chance at a full recovery and a long, healthy life. The cost for this life-saving treatment is $630. Charlie deserves the chance to run freely, to play without pain, and to grow into the happy, healthy dog he was meant to be. But we cannot do this without support. We are asking for donations to help cover Charlie’s treatment and give him the future he deserves. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings him one step closer to being heartworm-free and ready for the loving home waiting for him. Thank you for helping Charlie get his second chance. 4/5/26 Update Charlie is doing okay. He is coughing when he gets excited. He is just a young pup and deserves so much in life. He went from stray to shelter to almost a home until that fell through too. Now he is fighting these heart worms. And he can’t do it on his own. It takes a village to help every fur baby 5/27/26 Update: Charlie playing Look at this sweet boy! He deserves all the love in this world. He’s big and goofy as you can tell. He is doing good with a treatment that we are trying per vet for heartworms 6/7/26 Update: Look at him go Look How good he is doing

Luna

Luna is a 9 month old German Shepherd Dog in Lititz, PA, who needs $5,000 for Ultrasound, Vomit Inducing, Surgery.

Lititz, PA

I am a 100% disabled veteran of the Iraq War. I have had a German Shepard since I was stationed in Germany for 4 years. My parents took her while I was in Iraq. When I came back stateside she became my service dog. I have been blessed to be able to get a new one each time they aged out or passed away. I got Luna 6 months ago and have been working with her since she came home with me. 6 weeks ago Luna chewed and swallowed so of her blanket in her kennel. It formed a blockage and she need surgery. Care credit gave me $4,900 and her surgery cost $5,000. I am on a fixed income and am struggling to make those payments. This afternoon while I was asleep she got her collar off and chewed it up and swallowed it. We are at the vet now and I don’t know what they are going to have to do Luna is still a little skittish around people she doesn’t know but we are working very hard on that. She is a sweet puppy that is 100% attached to me. She never gives me any trouble and constantly thinks she needs to eat. 😂 I thought I had her safe now. Nothing is left open or laying around and there are no blankets to be found. I just fell asleep! As a disabled veteran I live on a fixed income. After paying all my bills there isn’t a lot left. I am paying care credit off and have no other means of getting credit. I don’t know what to do! I can’t just let her die! What do I do?

Duke's presence in my life has been nothing short of transformative. His gentle spirit and unwavering loyalty have taught me the true meaning of companionship. Every day, he reminds me of the beauty in kindness and the importance of living in the moment. His playful nature brings joy to our household, and his ability to connect with every creature he meets is remarkable. Duke has a unique way of Duke's journey has been a challenging one, filled with ups and downs, yet his spirit remains unbroken. As he prepares for surgery, it's essential to focus on the love and care that surrounds him. His health issues, particularly the lipomas and now the cancer diagnosis, have been a source of concern, but the decision to seek multiple opinions shows your dedication to his well-being. The upcoming s Duke has the sweetest eyes that gaze right into my soul. He holds my gaze for as long as I desire. I tell him how amazing he is and how much I love him, and he looks at me, completely knowing. He talks when he wants to and looks at me like I am the most beautiful being on this planet. Dean

Dean is a 5 year old Labrador Retriever in El Paso , TX, who needs $672 for Anal Mass Diagnosis.

El Paso, TX

We brought Dean home when he was just a tiny 8-week-old puppy, and he has been the center of our lives for all 5 years since. He’s a loyal Lab-Pit mix who has grown up alongside us, becoming more of a family member than a pet. Whether we are relaxing at home or on a road trip, Dean is always right there. He’s our constant shadow and the best friend we could have ever asked for. Recently, we discovered a mass near Dean's anal gland that makes it very painful for him to go to the bathroom. Our vet at [Clinic Name] started him on a 20mg steroid and stool softeners to manage the swelling, but we are at a standstill. We urgently need a definitive diagnosis to determine if this is an infection or something more serious so we can start the right life-saving treatment. Dean is a "talker"—he has a way of communicating exactly what he needs with just a look or a specific sound. He’s a big, blocky-headed sweetheart who loves his family fiercely and is famously resilient. Even when he’s uncomfortable, he still tries to wag his tail and stay close to us. His goofy personality and trusting nature are the glue that holds our household together. This $672 diagnostic fee is a sudden, major expense that we simply cannot cover out of pocket right now. We are doing everything possible with home care and meds, but we are desperate to get him the professional testing he needs. Seeing him healthy and pain-free again would
