I rescued Lucky form the streets of Chicago. He is a Shitzu Mix and lives with me alone in the suburbs. I am a senior Veteran and Lucky is my best companion asI live alone. I have limited income resources and will require additional funding to sustain his medical care which I manage on my own with social security as my main source of income. Living alone with Lucky provides me with a reliable companion in my senior years. We both have chronic health issues and without him I would face medical challenges on my own. With Lucky I can see how his quality of life is enhanced with his monthly medical treatments and restores him to a healthy and loving pet and companion. Lucky has a proud little peppy strut he exhibits as he walks. He like to wake me from my nap when it's time for his feeding. He knows which buttons to push to ask for affection or when he's under stress from his re-occurring health conditions. Lucky has required medical attention since the day I rescued him. One clinic has already exhausted all their treatment options for his gastrointestinal/salivary issues that constantly irritate his throat and put his breathing at risk. He is currently seen by MedVet where he has had two emergency procedures to clear his airway. The veterinary team is sustaining him as long as I can sustain his life. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran and senior citizen who lives on social security as my main source of income. Having Lucky's health managed with his monthly meds and treatments provide me with a loving and cheerful pet that brings me joy and companionship more than I hope for.

We got Molly at 2 months old. She is the best dog, ever. She is 22mos old now. She has stopped eating almost altogether and lost 40lbs between May & today. Vets want $1000 just for diagnostic x-rays and blood work but I just borrowed $2800 for her hip surgery in June and $1750 for a electric pole that fell and took out our electric and left us homeless til repaired. We need the diagnostics in order to figure out a treatment plan going forward. We are low income, elderly couple and Molly is the sun in our world. Please help us get her healthy again.o Molly just plain loves people. She is a big fluffy ball of love. She never met a stranger cuz everyone she needs is her new bff. She loved to play fetch with her ball before becoming ill. We are elderly & live on SSI and Florida lowered our income when weoved here, drastically. I drove to Michigan to get Waylon, and fell in love with him the second I seen him. I have never had such a bond with a dog as I do him. He is my absolute best friend. He’s a very active guy, so loving and sweet. We have another German shorthaired pointer who is a girl named Luna. she’s 4 1/2 and they are joined at the hip. Both are such good doggies and have so much personality. Waylon was diagnosed with a Cranial Cruciate Rupture his left leg and unable to bare any weight on it, only way to fix his leg is with surgery with a six week recovery time. He was seen at Medvet in Cincinnati Waylon is the friendliest dog ever. He greets everyone with a big wet kiss. He loves to run the fence line with the neighbors dogs all day. When he wants something he makes it very known what he wants and he wants it at that moment. He’s the biggest cuddlier, and has to sleep under the blankets. He hates the rain and someone sitting in his spot. He does not like being told no throws a complete fit Right now I am going through a divorce and The kids and I just moved into our new place in February and still trying to get into the groove of things and getting caught back up with it all. This was very unexpected. I’m picking up extra shifts just still not enough.

Our puppy was born 11/12/24. We work with a family friendly breeder to purchase her and we watched her throughout her birth journey. We brought her home Christmas Eve. We love her dearly. She lives at a home with a big yard and plenty of love. British loves to play fetch, chase feet and give lots of love. She is the only pet in our home. She is snuggled often by her human brother and sister whom are in the home during the day participating in schooling. She has a structured routine of outdoor play, feeding, sleeping, cuddling, walks and more. She is a joy in our family. She came to our home at a time where we needed a pick me up the most. She has lit up everyday since. I treat her like one of my own human babies and her siblings treat her the same. She loves to playfully nip at your toys, fall asleep on my husbands lap as he plays the Xbox, she loves riding in the car and she loves walks with mommy On 3/15/24 on a routine walk with me. A large pit bull broke out of it home and attacked British and I. I quickly grabbed British by the leash and held her over my head in attempts to protect her. The dog was too large and was about to still jump up catching her hind legs. This dog held on to her for 20 plus minutes. As I struggled to keep her up and begged the responsible party to get their dog. We have very tight funds. Two kids in college and a limited income. British insurance will not cover accident as she’s still in a probationary window. We need to save her foot. We are desperate for help.

My girlfriend and I adopted Fiona about 7 months ago. She was a frail little thing at the time and to be honest always has been. While we were playing with her before adopting her, a new batch of dogs came into the shelter. One of them was named shrek. And as soon as we heard that name we couldn’t help but name her Fiona. She has 2 brother that lover her just as much as we do. She is an extremely shy thing around everyone that she doesn’t know. But for the ones she calls family she is nothing less that attached to the hip. It’s hard to walk without her being right under you just trying to get some love and affection from her humans. She loves playing with her brothers. They have trained her to run as fast as she can at squirrels even if she doesn’t know why they do it. She has a consistent need to lay under the blankets with you. Either when you’re sleeping or just sitting in the couch watching your favorite show she is right there either digging her head into your chest or begging to go under the blankets. Or she does this as we call the “princess trot”. Where she bounces on our walks in what we can only describe as a Royal trot. It’s adorable to say the least. After coming home from work there was vomit all over the place. Which usually is a good sign to go to the ER in itself. Thankfully we were able to get into the animal emergency center. They told us she had hypothermia. Along with a blockage in her small intestine. Turns out her intestine was actually collapsed in on itself. She needed emergency surgery to save her life. But it was expensive. The surgery was an expensive unforeseen issue. I’m a disabled veteran with a fixed income that does a little work on the side for extra cash. The money is too much to handle but it was worth saving our babies life. 10 mo old isn’t long enough to be snuffed out.

Missy

Missy is a two-year-old Schnauzer in Burlington, NJ, who needs $2,000 for treatment of anaphylactic shock.

In seconds Missy went from being an active, beloved dog to fighting for her life. "Missy got stung by a bee on our way home from my daughter's birthday dinner," Holly R., Missy's human mom, tells Waggle. "She went into anaphylactic shock." Missy is now hospitalized at the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and requires blood transfusions every three days to help her survive. Her human dad is in the military, and they're cash strapped because they're all supposed to move again in two weeks. "We are moving our last military move after 25 years of traveling around the world," Holly says. "Financially, we are selling and buying a home in the next ten days and moving a family of six to a new life. Having Missy come home and be healthy means the world to us. We can't move without her." Missy's family says she is the light of their house. "We rescued Missy about two years ago after her owner passed and her sister was adopted," Holly says. "We saw her and fell in love. She is my daughter's companion and helps with her anxiety. When she's not lying with my daughter, she's asking for belly rubs and treats. She also keeps my anxiety at bay and is our little guard when dad is gone with the military." Please help this military family pay for Missy's care!

Snacks was chosen as a puppy to join our brother Justin's family.Before the time came for them to welcome their new puppy home,Justin was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident.We made the decision to become a dog house and brought him home when the time came. He instantly adopted my daughter as his human,she named him Snack-Pack in memory of her uncle that always shared her pudding cups with her Snacks can always be found glued to his teenage human, Chloes side. Her walls are decorated with Polaroid pictures of snacks in the many costumes he allows her to dress him in. His favorite part of each day is the car ride to pick his sister up from school. Every night snacks sleeps cuddled up with his newly welcomed dog brother, Baxter. Snacks is very high energy and so lovable. He will spend the day cuddling on the couch with you when you are sick, not moving until he knows you feel better. When it is play time he will run laps for hours pouncing at and playing with everyone he can. He wants nothing more than to play with every animal he meets, even if they do not. A few days ago snacks stopped eating and began getting sick. After 24 hours we became very concerned and brought him to his primary vet and they found the blockage after an xray. Snacks is currently at Pieper-Olson veterinary Hospital to receive an emergency surgery to remove a blockage in his small intestine. With this unexpected medical emergency comes a very high unexpected medical bill. his surgery is estimated to cost us between 3-5 grand. We have pulled together all money we have to pay deposits to ensure he receives the surgery but will still have a large balance owed

Left abandoned on the side of a highway with nothing but a blanket is how a good Samaritan discovered Nimby. That person saw Nimby was injured and needed emergency care. So they took him to the nearest animal hospital and called the Legacy Humane Society. Poor Nimby had a fractured femur. He was not microchipped, did not have a collar with tags, and no one claimed him. The Legacy Humane Society is raising money for Nimby's urgently needed surgery to repair his fractured leg. Though Nimby looks at you with those sad eyes, he's expected to make a full recovery and have much happier days ahead! "Despite his injury, Nimby is a super smart boy and very laid back," Molly B., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle. "His story didn't start well, but Legacy Humane Society is trying its best to give him his best shot and a second chance." Legacy Humane Society's mission is to help animals that have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. Please give to assist Nimby!

I have been blessed with Gus in my life since he was a puppy. At first I didn't want him when I heard what breed the parents were, a English bulldog and German Shepard. I worried the outcome. He turned out a pig dog (snorts) and I absolutely love him. He's now 10 years old and it's been the best ten years. Gus was minding his own while going potty in his yard. Our neighbors old fence gave way when their dog busted through. The neighbor dog attacked my Gus causing severe injuries. He went to olympia pet emergency and was treated for his wound. He started to decline fast. So I brought him back to olympia pet emergency, they closely monitored him but needed to transfer him to summit referral vet clinic Gus is the best dog you could ask for. He loves his giant tennis balls from tractor supply. He loves to play with the kids which means barking at them. He knows he can easily beg for his rabbit stocks by sitting near them and gives the cutest sad face ever. He has never bit a person and loves delivery drives (treats he's not suppose to have). My house would be so quiet without his deep pig snoring My house hold only has one income currently. With a new mortgage. Normally there would be two incomes. I didn't expect his vet bills to reach into the thousands. Oly emergency was around 6k and now at summit, the first bill was 6800 and now they want an additional 8k.
