oakley

oakley is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Elkhart, IN, who needs $5,000 for Emergency Medical & Diagnostic Treatments.

Elkhart, IN

Oakley, or “Oaks” for short, is our sweet and loving dog. We chose his name because it was unique and fit him perfectly. He loves laying in the sun and rolling in the grass, which seems to be his happy place. Oaks is also an emotional support animal and brings so much comfort to our lives. He also loved playing with our bunny. He is truly the best companion and an important part of our family. Yesterday around 9pm he was playing with his ball when he started crying for help and started dragging his back legs around so we rushed him to a pet emergency hospital where he was admitted. They told us he maybe had ruptured discs or possible embolism. They can not treat him correctly without an MRI. Without treatment he won't be able to walk. Our dog thinks he's a person, he likes to watch tv, sleeping with a pillow and blanket in bed with his family members. Oaks never stays home alone, he even goes to work with us. He loves spreading kisses and happiness. He is well known and loved by a huge part of the community. Oakley is well manored, very calm, listens well, and a big sweetheart. He lives in the home with his 4 human sisters. Our family is currently adopting a daughter. We also have to move shortly. Court cost are very enormous and moving just adds to the finical stress. We have always paid for all of Oakley's needs. Unfortunately this time, we are struggling.

Minnie

Minnie is a 5 month old German Shepherd Dog in Moscow, ID, who needs $4,200 for Orthopedic Surgery to Place 2 Pins in the Fracture.

Moscow, ID

I was made aware of Minnie’s situation from a coworker. Who said the dog was living with someone who didn’t want her and she needed a home. My girlfriend friend and I have an Australian Shepherd that we wanted to bring to meet her. When we arrived to meet Minnie it was obvious she was not being attended to as feces littered the apartment. We then decided it was right for us to take her. When we took Minnie into our care she was lethargic, scared, and couldn’t hold her weight on her hind legs. The next morning we took her to get radiographs and a check up. She was malnourished, underweight, and has a fractured femur. She has received pain meds and a splint. But we would like to pursue surgery at Washington State Veterinary Hospital or the Intermountain Pet Hospital. Estimated$4000 I met Minnie 2 days ago and this sweet puppy deserves nothing but to have the best quality of life she can get. She is an extremely intelligent and curious German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees. She shows signs of aggression from mistreatment but I know she just needs to be given time to rebuild trust in humans. My girlfriend and I live together in an apartment with our 1 year old Australian Shepherd. We took Minnie in because we want her to be apart of our family but we were not ready to be covering a fractured femur. We will need assistance on the majority of the cost

Summer

Summer is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Blountville, TN, who needs $2,500 for Lateral Suture aka Tightrope Procedure.

Blountville, TN

Summer came into our life seven years ago being only six weeks old. She has always been the light of our life. Summer loves snuggling up on a bed or the couch for some loving. She loves her crate time, it's her special little place to go when she needs alone time. Summer plays catch me if you can in her fenced in yard. She runs around with such joy. On May 14th 2026, it was a normal evening at our home. Children playing, pets enjoying a nap. She woke up and took a flying leap off of our daughters bed which is pretty high around 16 in. high. Summer ended up landing wrong. She was diagnosed at Cherry Point Animal hospital Kingsport TN with now a Torn cruciate ligament in left leg. She was also diagnosed at the age of 2 with Patella luxation At a very early age I started this thing where I would start making the ba sound and then say Ba Ba baby. So even to this day 7 years later I can do the ba ba baby And she just comes right up to my face and gives kiss after kiss. She loves right after her crate dinner time to go under the kitchen table to check for any crumbs that the children might have left. She's a big part of our family. This is such an unexpected large expense that our family has no funding. As we are raising five children on an already very tight budget. It has saddened us to see her limping and in pain. Summer would be blessed and very much appreciate being happy and comfortable.

Bear

Bear is a 4 year old German Shepherd Dog in Federal Heights , CO, who needs $5,000 for Debridement.

Federal Heights, CO

Bear lives at home with myself my partner and our 4 children ages 1, 2, 5, and 10. He is so so so loved in this household and goes pretty much everywhere with us such as our weekly family gatherings, kids sports outings and park trips. He cuddles and loves on us and the kids and is friendly to others while also being protective of us. He is the perfect family dog. Bear was attacked by 2 pitbulls which resulted in multiple surgeries on his head. He needs bandage changes every 2-3 days for his wound to heal and possibly 2 more surgeries They had to remove dead flesh in the area resulting in a large open wound on the back of his head. We have a long road of bandage changes ahead that are $500 every 2-3 days. We have had Bear since he was a baby. He is our protector who lives and breaths for us. We are a family of 6 and he has bonded with us and all of our children equally. He has always been a lover and a natural protector. We couldn't have been blessed with a better dog. He is everything we could ask for in a four legged companion. We all love him very much. Its een so hard seeing him like this We have done everything in our power to get Bear well. We have emptied our savings account, borrowed money from family, and maxed out every credit card we could get approved for and its just not enough. We were told we have a long way to go and have no more resources.

Nigel

Nigel is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Seattle, WA, who needs $21,000 for Transdiaphragmatic Pacemaker Surgery.

Seattle, WA

Nigel was found on the winter streets of Manhattan & brought ASPCA. The shelter estimated he was 3, likely abandoned. He was in bad shape, underweight, with a bad infection and had a scratched-up face (still has a scar on his nose and jaw). No one knew what had happened to him. We came into the shelter during an adoption weekend and saw some other cats, but then noticed Nigel. Shy, scared, lost. Nigel has a low heart rate and needs a pacemaker. His doctors at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle tell us it's a rare surgery for cats and he will have months of recovery and follow-ups. If we do not do it ASAP we risk sudden heart failure. Nigel has had episodes: he has seized up and once he fell down stairs. These are signs his heart is already facing issues and we need to act. From the day we met Nigel (full name Chairman Nigel Atticus Meow esq.) he has been a lover, always headbutting anyone who comes near him for pets and snuggles. He has burrowed his way into our hearts, as well as our sofas, to the point of creating Nigel-shaped dips between cushions. It used to annoy me; now it reminds me of the mark, physical and mental, that my little buddy has made. Unfortunately, this procedure is very expensive and very rare. I have limited means, was laid off, am seeking work and trying to sort out how to give my family member the care he needs. All I know is I can't give up on family and need to find a way.

Deuce

Deuce is a 8 year old French Bulldog in Port St Lucie, FL, who needs $8,000 for Ventral Slot Hemilaminectomy.

Port St Lucie, FL

We adopted Deuce from a local rescue after I lost my Weimeraner from a splenic tumor. Though I wanted a bigger dog, the rescue wanted us to meet this french bulldog and as soon as we saw him we fell in love with his not so frenchie face and laid back personality. As a motorcycle family, we named him after my husbands motorcycle, Deuce, to match his new sister Harley, who passed last month. Deuce has a history of IVDD in the low back with no real symptoms but recently started dragging his front right leg. We were referred to VCA Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists for what the vet believes is a herniated disc in his neck. He has began dragging both right side front and back legs and can not seem to lift his head anymore. Deuce is the alpha of the household and a true leader to our shrinking pack. He took it very hard last month when we lost Harley to seizures but has found comfort in our recently acquired Bernie doodle. He is a true mommas boy and my velcro dog giving me peace and comfort for my times of need. He is always "under your feet" and his laid back stubborn personality makes him the perfect companion. I am that person that would do anything for my pet. I was not able to have children so I have dedicated my life to furbabies. We recently replaced our roof, had a slab leak and had to re pipe the house, and I am waiting to pay for shoulder surgery. The bills keep climbing
