Back in November of 2015, I ran into a homeless lady selling puppies in the Walmart parking for 100$. I bought Toby bc he had this sweet stare like he was telling me to help him. He lived with my grandparents the first few years of his life. They loved him, but they neglected teeth care for him. By the time I got him it was too late his teeth were already infected to the bone. Toby is a pretty healthy dog besides his teeth. His feet are infected, and loose. They bleed alot. He can’t eat most foods due to his pain. He can’t play with his favorite toys anymore. Toby is fixed, and vaccinated. Toby needs about 16 teeth extracted. He goes to Highland Pet Hospital in Bloomington Illinois. Toby is the best dog. He is so hyper, loves to run, loves to swim. He loves to be ur best friend. He loves anyone he meets. He can’t play like he used to, due to his teeth.. but boy does he try!!?? Toby is so smart, he knows to sit and he knows how to behave. Toby is closest to my two teenage sons. He sleeps with them and protects them. Toby is truly family and deserves to not be in pain. So my husband works two jobs right now to support our household. My daughter is in college, my middle son just graduated and my youngest is a junior. Also, iam in school as well. To get help for our boy would just mean the world to us and him! He deserves to be pain free

Kane

My dad originally got Kane for himself. I went with his to pick him up. There were only 2 male pups left. I automatically knew just looking at Kane he was the one. So I told my dad I think we should get him. But my dad wanted the brother. After 10 minutes of observation of both he decided my decision was best. So I was super happy. I say in the back with Kane on the hour ride home. Him in my lap Kane had to be quarantined on Sept 23 due to an incident he had. They had him for 3 days while he was there be caught infectious pneumonia. We take him to the vet and they kept him for iv antibiotics and oxygen. Then we are told his stomach has turned and he has a ruptured spleen. This is when I start freaking out because surgery is expensive and my dad only had 5,000 to spend all together. Kane's favorite person is me, his mom. He always waited at the door for me to come home. He sleeps with me. He follows me all over the house anywhere I go he's right behind me. He's my best friend. I'm newly sober and having him had helped me stay on track. He's an incentive. We go for walks. Car rides to the park. Loves to play in the water by the boat docks. He loves everyone in the house. I'm 1 I am currently looking for a full time job. My dad is 64 and works tirelessly as a union laborer. He is helping as much as he can but the bill is 8,000 and he only has 5000. I love my dog and losing him would kill me. He's only 2. And his surgery will have him healthy again.

We adopted Roe August 2024. He was almost 6 at the time. He attached himself immediately to me and has been my constant shadow ever since. He has been through Dog Obedience Class I. He is smart and the best boy and we love him so much! Roe was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left rear leg. He weighs 102 lbs and is in great shape otherwise. We are trying injections and a leg brace to see if that helps. Roe is attached to me, Michelle, He loves all women but is wary of men. He makes every step I make so having a torn ACL is wearing on him. I try to get him to lay down and not follow me but he insists as he is my protector. He loves all kids and other dogs. He is the Bestest Boy. He will be seven in November and I pray to have him aroound for a long time. We do not have an extra $3500 - $5000 to afford his surgery. As a family of four with 3 other dogs paying for surgery is just not an option at this time.

Her previous owner could no longer care for her as a puppy so I took Bonnie in, my mother got horrible news that she is in the end stage of kidney failure and Bonnie took to her. She became more lively and happy with Bonnie around and as a great cuddle buddy she helps ease my mom’s mind. Right now Bonnie needs care she may have ate something or caught a parasite thats causing rectal bleeding despite this she still wagging her tail and wanting to cuddle Bonnie is at VCA East Bay Veterinary Emergency wanting care Bonnie is extremely friendly even the doctor couldn’t believe how loving and playful she is. Bonnie is a cuddle bug and loves to play with her stuffed bear…you may even catch her in a dress running around wanting to be held With my mom’s medical expenses we all pitch in so with Bonnie’s medical needs it’s breaking our hearts we can’t afford to give her the help she needs when she has been there helping my mother through this rough period. Bonnie’s getting help will save her life and bring joy

Noodle came into our lives because she was a runt in a puppy mill that we saved by stuffing her in my bag and running out so we could save her from being killed for being a mixed breed runt pup. Turns out she saved us. 8 months later my daughter and I ended up in a bad DV situation and she was actually taken away by cps and we have been fighting to get back together and Noodle has kept us fighting Noodle has always battled some skin problems and even though I'm disabled and only have dss I have been able to afford the meds she's needed for those issues cuz it's mostly pit allergies and bacterial stuff. Recently she's battled some yeast issues and I have tackled that. Now she has some discharge and sores I can't explain and won't drink. We need a good vet and emergency care I can't afford Noodle knows how to actually hug, give you care if you're crying or say certain words of distress, she is the poster dog of emotional support. She licks your cheek for.love and tries to make you smile with tricks and gives you her toys. She is fully trained but she gets so excited to meet people at first she wants to love everyone she sees she literally just can't help but love everyone I am fully disabled. I have physical and mental health issues and terrible PTSD from such bad DV and I absolutely rely on Noodle now to live a normal life. It's not over reaching she helps me calm and less anxiety and be able to walk better and also alerts fainting spells

After our first Akita passed from bloat i decided to find a puppy right away. i found this cute girl and picked her up. it was right before covid and it saved my girlfriend while everything was closed. she has been the sweetest dog and means the world to us. a couple days ago she got up and started to limp out of nowhere. we found out she tore her knee and needs surgery. right now i have her on meds and just got a referral to BluePearl Pet Hospital. my vet said there is a slight possibility that it is not fully torn from the xrays but its not looking good My vet/staff says she is the sweetest Akita and they all love her. i had her over my family and she was gentle and let everyone pet her even though she was in pain. i picked her up from vet and had to go to a family thing dealing with stage 4 cancer i am going through a couple jobs that seem not to want to pay me. it has become a legal battle. on top of that this injury came out of nowhere as she was her normal self. sleeping and then got up and started limping. she is our family and i want the best for her

BeauDuke came into our lives as a gift since we had lost our dog Snowball suddenly the year prior from someone poisoning him. It was like BeauDuke had gotten tips from Snowball on the other side because he fit into our family like he had always been with us. BeauDuke first started with a limp which we though he may have sprained his back leg so we limited his mobility but after a few days it began to swell so we took him to the vet on 9/29/25 there they did X-rays confirming no broken bones, lab results showed an infection but his organs were fine so they sent him home with antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds but the swelling is increasing. BeauDuke knows only love, he sees everyone as a potential friend and goes out of his way to make their day. He follows his Mommy everywhere and never goes out of her sight. He loves to snuggle and if you get close enough expect a full session of kisses. BeauDukes favorite toys are plushies to suck on and squeaky balls to chase. BeauDuke is in the heart of everyone he meets. Due to inflation and hours cut at my husbands work we don’t have the funds to resume follow up with his vet who wants to try a biopsy next. We have pet insurance that is delayed and reimbursing is from the initial visit that was almost $800 dollars.

I have had her for 10 years now and she is 12 years old. Recently we went to the vet because she had been very sick. With a diagnosis of pyometra which is a medical emergency. She goes to Trusty vet off highway 72. She is very special because she is such a sweet and loving dog. She loves attention and loves food. Anytime someone comes over she is usually all under them. She used to be energetic before she got sick. I have taking her to the vet already and spent a lot of money. I don’t make much money already and can barely afford to keep taking her. But I want her to get better. I can’t stand to see her suffer. It would mean the world to me if she got better. She is my best friend.

Daisy was adopted by us after loosing one of her back legs in a car accident. When we saw a video of her running like the happiest dog in the world with three legs we had to get her. She lives here with her sisters Luna Tuna the white Labrador and Cat Zang Zang. Daisy is facing severe dental disease and needs multiple extractions. The pain is affecting her ability to eat enjoy life without treatment. Her health will quickly decline. She will be treated at Cheshire crossing Veterinarian in Alan Texas. Where are the team is ready to help her recover Daisy is a the sweetest soul even with three legs. She runs faster than most dogs and loves to play with Luna tuna in Zhang Zhang. She has a silly habit of nibbling pillows and cuddling up close whenever she feels safe Daisy is gentle, joyful, and full of life, she teaches us resilience and unconditional. Love every single day. The unexpended medical expenses are overwhelming for us. Stacy’s dental surgery is essential for health, but we cannot cover it without help having Daisy healthy again means keeping our family home and giving her the pain-free happy life she deserves.
