Merlin came to Every Last One Rescue from the ACC needing help for what was believed to be a minor medical issue. He had a prolapsed urethra, and while the shelter noted it as something relatively simple, surgery quickly revealed that Merlin’s condition was much more serious than anyone expected. This sweet boy underwent surgery to repair the prolapse, and everyone hoped he was finally on the path to healing. But the very next day, things took a terrifying turn. His stitches dropped, leading to a frightening and very bloody medical emergency that required immediate attention. Merlin was rushed back into care and had to undergo a second surgery to repair the damage and give his body another chance to heal properly. It was a scary ordeal for everyone involved, but thankfully, Merlin made it through. On top of his urethral prolapse and emergency surgeries, Merlin was also battling a severe yeast infection across his body. His skin was uncomfortable, irritated, and in desperate need of treatment. With proper medical care, medicated treatment, and the love of his foster family, his skin is already starting to improve. After everything he has endured, Merlin remains such a special dog. He has faced pain, complications, emergency surgery, and an uncertain road, yet he is finally getting the chance to feel a little better and heal in a safe, loving foster home. But his medical journey has come with significant costs. Merlin’s surgeries, emergency care, medications, skin treatment, follow up appointments, and continued recovery needs have created a large financial burden for the rescue. Every Last One Rescue stepped up without hesitation because Merlin deserved the chance to heal, but they cannot do it alone. Today, Merlin is living his very best life with his forever family. Every photo is a reminder of just how far he's come and why Every Last One Rescue never gave up on him, even when his medical journey became far more complicated than anyone expected. While Merlin's story has the happy ending he deserved, the veterinary bills from his surgeries, emergency care, medications, follow up appointments, and ongoing treatment remain. Rocky

Rocky is a 8 year old Alaskan Malamute in Brooklyn Center, MN, who needs $1,297 for Chemotherapy and Tumor Removal.

I have had Rocky since he was a puppy. He is now 8 years old. He has been an incredible, friendly, loving, loyal dog. We live in the north metro close to Minneapolis. He loves going for walks, going for rides, and playing fetch, and cuddling. Rocky got some sad news recently. He has a cancerous growth near his tail, which is an open wound. He needs to have a cone on his head so that he doesn't make the wound worse. The veterinarian told me that with treatment, he will be just fine. But unfortunately I have lost a lot of work recently and don't have the money to pay for his treatment. Rocky is such a lover. He is scared of thunderstorms and always wants to be in the bed with me when it is storming. He also loves to "sing" along with the sirens when we hear a fire truck! I have lost most of my work for the last 2 months because of the immigration crackdown in the Minneapolis area. I have lost out on almost all of my income. I can barely pay my rent, and now my dog needs surgery/treatment that I can not afford. Anything helps, thank you all!

Mocha was a gift from my grandmother. Shes truly the best dog anyone can have. She was born october 29 2022. Im currently living at my mothers house with my girlfriend thats 8 months pregnant were trying to get our life together for our new baby. My mother also has 2 pets. Mocha pregnant unexpected. She was rushed to the emergency room because she was trying to give birth and m puppy legs were stuck in her canal. 2 other pups came out after only 1 survived. i had to wait for the next morning i took her to new rochelle animal hospital where they xray her and seen that she still had 3 extra puppies she had to get an rush c section because it was life threatening Mocha is the life of the party. She can literally just make you feel good with her around.shes friends to humans and also other animals. All i hear is good remarks about her i couldnt imagine being without her I lost my job and also got evicted im staying in a room at my mother house with 2 other dogs until im able to get everything covered im also awaiting a beautiful daughter oct 19th

Prince was 11 wks. old, when I picked him up, and he started licking me. I fell in love. I wanted Charlie Brown & mom wanted Princess. We compromised: Prince Charles Brown is his AKC registered name. He is a full bred Shih Tzu that has never met a stranger. He is very friendly and lovable. He loves car rides and playing with rolled up socks. He likes dressing up and going to the beach. In the last 13 months, Prince has been diagnosed with diabetes, Cushing's disease & hyperparathyroidism. The diabetes & Cushing's are under control with meds. His vets are Dr. Jeffries & Dr. Whitten, at Edgewater Animal Hospital. He had to have cataract surgery at VA Tech Animal Hospital in Oct. He was sent to the Animal Cancer Care& Research Center for testing for hyperparathyroidism. Surgery is required Prince is my only "child". He is very special and full of love. He talks and dances and enjoys everybody. I even registered him as my emotional support animal. He goes everywhere with us. He has friends all over the community. He visits the bank, the courthouse, the beauty salon, the gas station, the mechanics, & several drive thru restaurants. Prince has friends everywhere & knows where he is. Prince is the most important"person" in my life. I would do anything for him. I was approved for Care Credit for his 1st surgery. Follow-ups & meds have it maxed. I started a new job in Nov. & 2 checks were messed up. Both were $0. I had to replace the motor in my Jeep. Help

Ruki

This beautiful Papillon Chihuahua is named Ruki and she belongs to my dear friend, Tomas. After caring for his dying mother for several years, Tomas adopted Ruki and the two quickly became inseparable. I have never seen a man dote on or love a dog more than Tomas loves Ruki. He sings her silly song and takes her absolutely everywhere with him. Their love for each other is truly special. Sadly, Ruki recently injured her hip and will be taken to UC Davis tomorrow morning for a life saving procedure (femoral head ostectomy). After this rather expensive procedure, she will likely need physical therapy. Luckily, this pup still has a lot of pep in her step and will have plenty of years of snuggles and kisses ahead of her. Ruki is a diva with a capital D. I would venture to say that her raven locks, elegant prance, and infamous side eye align her with icons such as Cher, Diana Ross, and Rihanna. Between the frequent walks and vacations she takes with Tomas and her stylish wardrobe that is way better than his, she is the envy of all the other dogs in the neighborhood. No one is ever prepared for a $4000 surgery for their pet. After losing his mother just 3 years ago, Tomas cannot bear the thought of losing Ruki. He has made the difficult decision to proceed with the surgery and I hope we can all help support just as he did for his mama.

Our family is made up of 5 kids my fiance and myself, and of course Hazel. We were homeless for almost 3 years due to me losing my job because of covid. And in March 2021 my father passed away. Bless his soul he left me and my children a place we could finally call home. That's when we decided to get Hazel. We got her from a friend at only 8 wks old. My oldest son has ADHD and him and Hazel have been attached at the hip every since we got her. She sleeps in his room with him. She loves going for walk at the park and playing in the river. Hazel, and my daughters fur babies play together all the time. She hates thunder, and isn't to fond of the snow. Hazel loves cats and loves to play fetch It started about 3 weeks ago and started as the size of a small baseball and has only grown sense then it's now the size of two baseball it goes across her neck and it's starting to effect her breathing and she hasn't eaten in two days. The vet center has already taken a sample of the mass and has confirmed it is a abscess. And has quoted me between 6 and $700 to get Hazel all better I am currently in-between jobs right now and have zero extra money at the moment. Hazel isn't just a dog in our family, she is our fur baby. She is my son's everything. Often when he has a bad day she is the only one that can calm him down.

Archie came into my life at 3 weeks old. His mom was sick and couldn't care for her puppies. He was bottle fed and came to work with me in a picnic basket. He's my baby. He's been with me thru many losses and has been my constant companion.My only child recently left for college, and I've been so lost. It's just him and I, now and most days I don't think I'd get out of bed without him. At one point there was 5 of us. My 23 year old siamese cat and him were unlikely bffs. They took care of each other. Punky has been gone 2 years now. My ex partner is the reason he loves boys. They were inseparable, although we weren't together, they picked up where they left off every time. we lost Chris last December and it's been so so hard. Now it's just him and I. I cant imagine losing him. Archie is a soul reader. He became my emotional support dog when he was just over a year, because he always knows when he's needed. His personality is so sweet and he is so affectionate He is also a herding dog and is my bossy shadow. He will demandingly usher me to bed, when he's tired, then abandon me when i comply, just because he has major FOMO and needs to sort his people Archie has been vomiting for almost 3 weeks off and on, and i finally was able to find the funds to get him to the vet and. he ate something that looks like a pacifier. he's not eating. he's skinny and lethargic. I amnstruggling hard these days. I'm fighting a eviction because my apartment won't recognize him as an ESA. The salon I've been employed at for over 6 years, suddenly closed.Im stuck Archie is my best friend. He is my child and I cannot bare to be without him. He is family. If I were to receive assistance, I could look at the world with less jaded eyes. i would pay it forward in numerous ways. I have lost so much.. we need each other.

Mindy came into my life as a foster. I’m taking care of her for a friend that relocated from OH. She has been a joy and a blessing to take care of in my home. She shares the house with 2 other dogs that came to me as rescues from down south. Mindy’s pass times include sleeping and begging for food. She sleeps on the couch, perched on top a stack of throw pillows like a princess. She loves hiding her toys in her bed or running around with them, playing keep away from the other 2 dogs or whoever wants to chase her. She gets along with other dogs at the park as well as children. Mindy is a playfully stubborn pup that will faint like a goat and plant herself in place, if she doesn’t want to go somewhere. She loves being around her human, going for walks, car rides, and the dog park. She also is full of all kinds of snoring and snorts and grumbles that comes with being a Boston Terrier and having the short snout. Mindy has an abscess on her back side that is a little bigger than a golf ball that needs to be removed. The vet said it is very likely an adenocarcinoma. He feels confident he should be able to get it all and once it is removed, it will not come back. Once removed she could have a happy healthy 5-6 more years. Steve adopted Mindy as a pup which they aired on the local news. Steve just relocated from OH to be closer to family so Mindy’s procedure comes at a very unexpected time. The procedure is approx $4000-5000 which is financially challenging after a cross state move.
