Flying Pigs Sanctuary rescued Earle Grey on April 24. Because he was so severely emaciated, he was immediately started on a refeeding program to help his body safely adjust to proper nutrition. He did wonderfully at first, gaining weight and finally getting a chance to experience life free from the padlock and chain he had endured. But over time, Earle began to get pickier with his food. It was difficult to know exactly what was wrong, because despite everything, he still had moments where he seemed bright and happy—especially if a cheeseburger was involved. His bloodwork looked great, and he still seemed perky, but we knew something wasn’t right. After multiple vet visits to try to get answers, everything changed this Monday. During an exam, their vet felt something unusual in Earle’s abdomen. X-rays quickly turned into an ultrasound, which revealed a large mass. Surgery was scheduled right away, but once their vet began the procedure, she became concerned that the mass was too extensive to safely remove herself. She closed him back up and immediately referred Earle to a specialist. The other day, that specialist removed a massive tumor—one of the largest she has ever seen. She believes she was able to get good margins, but there is still concern that the mass is cancerous. Right now, they are holding onto hope that it was caught in time and that Earle can finally have the healthy, happy life he has always deserved. His veterinary care has already totaled $7,000, and they need help covering the cost of giving Earle a chance. If you’re able to donate, every dollar will go toward his lifesaving care and recovery. Koda

Koda is a 12 year old German Shepherd Dog in Spartanburg, SC, who needs $6,000 for Parathyroid Nodule Removal.

We have had Koda since she was 8 weeks old, when we adopted her. She is about to turn 12 soon. Koda has been with us through dating, engagement and 10 years of marriage and is part our family in every way possible. She has a younger brother who is 7 and they are inseparable. My husband is Deaf and in the community CODA means "Child of Deaf Adult", we spell her name "Koda" and she has a sign name. Koda has been suffering from chronic high calcium levels. These high levels increase her thirst and urination and have resulted UTIs and in some higher kidney levels. After months of different diagnostics our vet referred us to specialists at Upstate Vet Emergency and Specialty care. They found a nodule on Koda's parathyroid that is causing these issues. With treatment it will resolve entirely. Koda is a smart and loving girl. She doesn't want to cuddle but she wants to be wherever you are. She loves to go for a ride and enjoys pets from anyone and everyone. Koda loves to play tug of war, chase squirrels, bark her heart, eat treats and cuddle with her brother. She's a brave pup who will go wherever Dad goes and give everything a try at least once. She's simply the best we could ask for. My husband and I both work in K-12 education, and recently moved to the area, depleting much of our own savings to do so. Upstate Vet is estimating Koda's surgery will cost $4000 - $6000 dollars. We do not have these funds on hand, but want her to get the help she deserves.

Sally Anne

Sally Anne is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in North East, , who needs $1,288 for Removal of Round Cell Tumor.

We adopted Sally in 2016 after moving to Connecticut. She came from Georgia, where she was hit by a car as a puppy. Her leg was badly injured and had to be amputated. Despite being a tripod, Sally is full of love and energy. She instantly connected with our family, and she's been bringing us joy for the past nine years. I noticed Sally wasn’t playing outside as much and found a lump on her back left knee. It kept growing, so I took her to North East Animal Hospital. A biopsy showed it’s not cancer—yet—but it must be removed within 2–4 weeks to prevent it from spreading. Sally has been a true blessing to our family—a bright light who loves unconditionally and will quickly become your best friend. She loves car rides, meeting new people, chasing chipmunks and squirrels, and eating apples. She’s been by my daughters’ and my side through my divorce, my father’s passing, and health struggles, bringing comfort and strength. After my divorce in 2019, I moved back home with my girls. Then COVID hit, and I hurt my foot, leading to 5 surgeries. I’m still healing and managing a lot with my girls’ care. Because of this, I’m unable to afford Sally’s surgery right now, but I’m hopeful for better days.

Little Daisey Mae came into my life as a sweet little puppy from a shopping cart at my local grocery store. She was so tiny when I got her and she has been with me for years. Always filling my day with affection and loved. She currently lives with me and my roommate. My sweet Daisey Mae has severe dental issues that require urgent care. She is a very sweet girl but since her mouth is hurts she has been more distant. She doesn't want to cuddle as much. The wonderful vets and techs at Fairgrounds Animal Hospital are willing to do her dental procedure and provide best care possible to make sure my little girl is not in pain any more. She loved to lay outside and soak up all the sun. But if there is a scary leaf that blows into the yard she will defiantly let me know so I stay safe. When she is not soaking up the sun or protecting me from leaf's she will lay on the couch and be a true blue couch potato. When I say "walk" will jump up and get excited because gets to smell the flowers. Many years ago I was hit by a drunk driver while walking and have not been to work so I am on a limited income then two years ago my mother passed away and I had final bills to pay which took all my money and now I am unable to get her mouth fixed without some help.

Hello, This is our family's American Bully. Nova Arlington Smith. She's our first and oldest dog here the runt in her litter who grew into a big beautiful girl. She is fully American Bully. I took in Nova for my partner to who wanted a new puppy and she has been highlight of our lives every since then. No matter the trouble or turmoil we could count on Nova to be the bright star to cheer you up. Recently our girl in the mix of all of the all the ice her took a bad fall off the deck and broke her hind leg. Emergency Surgery is needed which amounts to the sum of $5200.00, which 75% has to be due before surgery is started to the amount off 4300. She awaits surgery at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Up to this point Nova has been a healthy girl with no other pending health issues. Nova loves here family and her tug ropes. The only thing she properly loves more than that is flowers. My favorite time of year is the spring and walking around the fresh flowers. She loves her beat friends Yappa, Our Brindel boxer and Brielle our oldest daughter as well. And her and her dog mom are two peas in a pods. Her as addition in our family along with Yuppa as brought light in trying times We live on a pretty fixed income and are still recovering from losing our some time ago. I've done all I can and will continue to do so for my dawgs now to make sure they are in the best conditions--But with such a high cost upfront. We need help please.

We became Gizmos forever family back in October of 2022. I am a home health CNA and one of my patient that i have taken care for year unfortunately is no loner with us, Gizmo was her dog and she didnt have any family that could care for him so we took him in and made sure that he has a loving home. Gizmo is very happy and excited dog. Gizmo is closest to my youngest son Ryan. My son is autistic and has had a lot of struggles in life and Gizmo and always turns this mood around. Gizmo always sleeps with his awhile ( some of us get a little jealous(me)...lol). However Gizmo always and enough love for all of us including me,,y husband, and both my sons. One of the cutest thing that Gizmo does is smile...lol. Its contagious, when he smiles it buts a smile on me face. Gizmo with do anything for attention. You can never predict the cute and silly thing that he will do to get attention. On July 4th we let Gizmo out of our backyard. However, we got amazing new on July 6th and someone found Gizmo. We were SO happy he was home and we thought safe. But, it didnt take long to realize that there was something wrong with his mouth. We took him in and he has a fractured jaw and need surgery asap. I work as a home health CNA and my husband works as maintenance crew and a local restaurant. Money is really tight right now and the quote for the vet was between $3,202.43 - $3,871.51. Hi everyone my puppy’s name is Chacho and I named him that because of a K-drama called Hometown Cha Cha Cha and so I call him Chacho Cha Cha Cha. I adopted him about a month and a half ago and although it seems like a little time I truly love him, he’s my little fur baby. It breaks my heart that he got hurt. Chacho loves to play fetch when I take him to the light house. He even listens more to my 3 year old son than he does to me sometimes and is quite sassy when I tell him no. He gets so excited when family members come over even though he has a fractured leg that does not stop him from jumping from excitement. He also knows how to sit haha:) Chacho is such a sweet boy. He loves my 3 year old son and doesn’t leave his side. He’s always excited when seeing new friends. He loves cuddling and loves his favorite toy elephant. He loves going to the lighthouse and run around on the grass. He is a talker and if he doesn’t like something he starts getting sassy. He’s a lover and loves to be loved and give love back. Chacho was hit by a car on Easter Sunday. We were crossing when a car did not make their stop and hit him.I could not pull him fast enough with his leash and the car did struck him. The person did not stop and sped away.He has a humerus fracture on his left leg. We rushed him to the ER where they confirmed he will need surgery. I did not qualify for care credit nor a loan. Please share his story. This was a sudden emergency and I put all my savings into Chacho’s emergency visit. I don’t have enough to pay for his surgery and I don’t want to surrender him. Please if anyone can help I will greatly appreciate it.

Baby came into my life as an animal that I rescued. I have a passion for rescuing animals in need of loving forever homes. Once they get here they hardly ever want to leave. Baby is 8 years old and has had one litter of pups when she was 2 years old. She spends her days playing with her son that was born 6 years ago and also, Princess Buttercup who is a cockatiel that is also rescued. Baby is a docile, friendly, and loving queen of the animals around my home. She is the leader of our family pack and takes care of all the animals around here. She has a natural act of caring for all living beings in a general matter. She sleeps right by my side in my bed and has brought me comfort and joy throughout the many years we have spent together. Baby is unlike other dogs to me because she is like my child. She helps me through my worst days in life and is always there for me when I need a friend. I am not able to count too many humans in my life that are there for me the way that she is. Baby never lets me down. My Foster son gets so much joy spending time with her as well. He Loves to take her on walks and plays with her often. Baby is currently @ Olympia Pet Emergency Hospital and experiencing Dystocia, (Difficult Birth). She got pregnant by surprise and ended up birthing a breach stillborn and since going on 24 hours, has not been able to birth the other 6 pups that the vet found heartbeats for. God is very good and I know her life and the lives of these pups are in good hands at this vet hospital. Prayers. It would mean the world to me for Baby to come out of this situation healthy as well as her babies. I am experiencing financial hardship dealing with covid, piled up bills, and trying to take care of my privately fostered son (NOT state-funded).

Anakin

Anakin came into our lives on a visit to Barstow, Ca. We adopted him and his sister Alvie. Alvie has since passed. He has other four legged companions running around. Anakin I very dainty and his other companions are a little on the rough side so for the most part he’s on the sidelines. He loves sleeping on my sisters bed overnight! Anakin is such a little ham, he loves being carried like one cradles a baby. He mostly clings to my sister and loves her so much to the point that he looks for when not in the same room. He also likes sleeping on everyone’s bed but loves sleeping under the covers. We all get to cutting our fair share of Anakin love ❤️ I’m in financial distress due to being on fixed income. I’m receiving social security and my daughter can only provide minimal financial assistance due to loss of job because of COVID-19. Anakin was diagnosed with cancer late last year and he’s undergoing treatment with chemotherapy and will be ongoing. The pill for us not working and will need several treatments Intravenously that will hopefully work and keep him comfortable. VCA California Veterinary Specialists-Ontario Oncology department is where he’s having cancer treatment. Anakin is very cute and adorable. He grins and sneezes when he’s happy and gets excited especially when he’s getting boiled chicken. think the grin is literally a smile and that makes me smile and laugh. He loves taking pictures especially with hats and he’s very Photogenic and loves blueberries and watermelon.
