Naya was a surprise pet given to me by my partner. She was adopted with the idea of helping me grieve with the loss of my ARMY buddy. I am a US ARMY Combat Veteran, and I have had a lot of loss in my life; but Naya came in and stole my heart! She's my best friend and hurt herself running from fireworks in the neighborhood. She has a partial tear in her ACL and also liquid in her Knee. I have looked up so many places to get her the surgery and couldn't afford anywhere. Naya is now 1 week in without a surgery and in pain Naya has helped me through so many hard times with my disabilities. I work remote and since I am a veteran we spend all our lives supporting each other. She is the reason I have better days and can be the best part of of my shift since we always go tot he park. I am on a fixed income as I have been trying to find a better job. I feel stuck because all I see is her in pain and I just wish I could do anything to help. Any assistance would be beyond appreciative.

Freya came into our lives as a tiny puppy almost 5 years ago. Some friends told us about a guy that was breeding pitbulls in his backyard and we knew we had to help them. He had Freya's mom and dad locked in a kennel and there were lots of other pitbulls in his yard that nobody seemed to want. Freya is a super playful and sweet dog who always knows how to make people smile. Freya began to limp and stopped putting any weight on her back right leg last week. A visit to New Hope Animal Hospital led to the discovery that she had a torn cranial cruciate ligament and needed surgery, which will be performed at Ozark Veterinary Specialty Care. Freya is very energetic and loves running around outside. She loves to counter-surf and steal food, which causes a lot of commotion at dinner time. Freya loves to chew on softer toys like stuffed animals. Freya's best friend is my daughter Ireland. Ever since Freya was a puppy they have been glued together. Ireland taught Freya all her tricks, and they love to cuddle. Freya's dad is a retired United States Marine on a fixed income. We have four children and a tight budget. One insignificant trip to the back yard caused Freya to stop putting any weight on her leg and we found out she needs surgery and that it will be st least $4,000.

He's around 10 years old and we got him from the shelter like 5 years ago. His name was already Pepper and I know he was surrendered bc the state made his mommy because a neighbor complained he kept getting out of the fence so they deemed her unfit which is insane to me because he never did anything bad. He used to live on a farm with ducks but that's all I know. We also have a cat This is a possible emergency. He has been puking for a couple days now on and off but now he's puking badly and the coloring is worrying us. We are barely scraping by as it is and a vet bill is not something we can afford. Even just to get him checked out and tests ran could be a minimum of $500. He is the goodest boi. He's gentle and chilled out, definitely a little dopey but he's a sweet boy. He is great with our family and other animals, aside from the occasional bunny or squirrel he thinks he must chase. We all love him so much We have a fixed income as I get social security only for my daughter from her late father. We also have a daughter with a heart condition and it makes it hard because she has so many doctors appointments and we're still trying to catch up financially form her last stay

Lily was originally found in a barn by my partners grandma, they took her in and nursed her to health. Lily has been with my partner since she was a tiny puppy and is so important to her and now to me. Recently Lily was diagnosed with diabetes. It’s been a battle on and off and now she has pancreatitis and ketosis and we are doing everything we can to save her life. She is currently at Clarksville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Lily is the kind of dog who is just so out going and funny. She’s a cuddle bug and who thinks she’s a cat. She’s so sweet and loving and loves a good play time. Seeing her not feeling well is so heart breaking to us I am a disabled vet, and my partner is currently not working due to an illness. I am going to school to better my life and our future and am currently not working due to an injury from a car accident. It would mean the world for us to have the support

Spyro was definitely a surprise! My in-laws adopted two of his brothers in October of ‘23. We were visiting on New Years when my MIL mentioned that one of the litter never got adopted—the runt. He was 5 months old, weighed 10 lbs., and had Giardia and a tapeworm. We took him to the vet, got him on meds, put him on a good food, and loved him back to health! Now he is growing up with his brothers ❤️ Spyro began limping one day, so we took him to our vet (the Animal Clinic of Sterling Heights). We took x-rays which showed inflammation in his knee. We met with their orthopedic doctor, who said he requires surgery for a torn ACL, which was quoted about $3-3,500. Spyro is the sweetest, silliest Labrador. He is a big baby, and leans on his Pomeranian sister for emotional support since she is the brave one. He LOVES going swimming, playing with his littermates, and sunbathing. If you’re having a snack, he will cuddle up to you with the biggest eyes and wait very patiently. If you take a bath, you will have company because he likes the taste of Dove soap 😅 Matt and I will put our own needs on the back burner, but there is no limit to what we will do for our dogs. We see them as our kids, and will do anything for them to live the happiest lives. Spyro may have been born the smallest but he also got the biggest heart of them all

He was found on Facebook about 6 years ago he was the smallest puppy and I knew the stigma behind Pits so i had to have him to give him better. He is the youngest of the 4 animals I have and is the 2nd one to need a hip surgery. He currently struggles getting comfortable in any position, going up/down stairs, getting in vehicles, and he is currently medicated daily for pain. Ryder starting limping in late March we took him to our local vet they then referred us to Cape Small Animal Clinic for imagining and they informed us that he would need 4 surgeries. He would need 2 back knee and 2 back hip surgeries. They gave us an estimate and we immediatley knew we would need help. He is a special boy because he just has so much personality. He loves the snow, sunbathing, car rides especially the wind, and he thinks he's a pro football player. He loves his grandma when i say grandma he gets SO EXCITED tail wags and smiles. He doesnt like staring contests he will get very talkative with you (its really funny). Everybody loves him honestly he gets alot of attention and love I live with 2 disabled family members on a fixed income and recently I've been inbetween jobs as i recently graduated highschool and Im trying to get full time. My Ryder is the light of our home and it would men more than alot to be able to receive help in paying his bills.

Murphy was a surprise for me from my boyfriend that passed away in 2022. Murphy has my daughter, and two dog siblings. We are a happy family that needs Murphy, "aka the boss" to survive. My daughter found Murphy sprawled out on the living room floor after school with a heart rate of 20. I rushed home from work and brought him to Philadelphia Animal Hospital where he was referred to Blue Pearl to see a cardiologist for bradycardia. One week later, another epirsode occurred and he was given atropine at Blue Pearl ER. Diagnosis is suspected sick sinus syndrome Murphy is the boss of the family. He has a brother Charlie, and new little sister, Bella. Charlie is 100lb German Shepard/pit bull that absolutely adores his older brother even though Murphy barks at him when he's doing something wrong. Bella is the newest member and attached to Murphy's hip just like all little sisters! Murphy has been healthy his whole life, 4 years. He is my soul and spirit animal. My best friend and I would do anything for him; I spent 7000 on his brother's hips and 5000 so far on him. My savings for a new home is gone. I am a nurse that cares for people everyday

I was given the dog from my grandmother, she had originally got him for herself, but he had quickly grown attached to me. So she gave him to me with little warning, not that I regret it at all. He's been with me for about 3 years and is about to turn four soon. From living with my grandmother, which wasn't the best situation to joining me in living back at my mom's. He was hit by a truck after he escaped from my backyard. I hadn't realized that a family member of mine had forgot to close the back gate. While he seems mostly fine at the moment, he has severe damage to one of his back feet. While they said they could try to save his foot, they may need to amputate. He is situated at the VCA Guardian Veterinary Centre. We have another dog he likes to hang out with, her name is Cutie. They play a lot sometimes not paying attention to their surroundings, or getting into things. Even so they enjoy each other's company. He plays with my family well, my little sister often smothers him with affection with sometimes makes him uncomfortable but he love the attention most of all. He usually hangs out with me however. I don't have a job, I'm reliant on income support and that does not give me enough to pay for his surgery. Said surgery being $7000 to save his foot, Or 6000 for amputation. If everything goes well, he'll be able to walk and run freely, or live despite losing a limb.

Charlie was donated to our family to assist with my father's frontotemporal dementia. He is a calming presence in the household and enjoys giving hugs. while our family was performing Spring cleaning, Charlie ran into the street and was struck by a pickup truck who then drove off. We took him to Blue Pearl, our local Vet Emergency Room, where Charlie was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia (his intestines and liver are in his lung compartment pressing against his heart). Charlie urgently needs surgery in Ames, Iowa at the Lloyd Veterinary Medic Charlie is a truly special member of our family and my father was in tears at the thought of losing him. His calming presence is true therapy to my father as he struggles to control his own body. Unfortunately, we are unable to use credit-based funding. Our family called a variety of university-based clinics in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska, and South Dakota and we're told the procedure would cost about the same. We have exhausted every option.
