Rex was a gift to me after a really rough time in my life he is my second oldest animal and he is my entire heart. He has gotten me through the hardest times over the past 4-5 years. I truly dont know what i would do without him. We are in a great living situation, but as everyone knows rent and bills are killer right now! We are doing everything we can from laser therapy to pain meds etc. He is dealing with some kind of back/hip injury & we are needing to get X-rays, bloodwork,as well as possibly an mri.We have already done laser therapy which was a temporary fix that lasted no more than a week with combination of pain meds. We have done home therapy & exercise. Now we are at a stand still because he needs the X-rays as next step. We are starting more treatment at modern animal Rex is our only boy dog and he is our big man. He has saved my life more than once. He loves to talk to us and let us know how he’s feeling. He watches after our son Hayden like he’s a member of the pack. Without him truly we would feel like something is missing. He protects our house if anyone walks out front. We would truly do anything for him. Watching him grow has truly been a gift honestly. My work hours have been cut due to the lock-in period at working being the slowest part of the year I make the least amount of money & we have already spent 500+on him to get him help, truly just wanna do anything to fix Rex & get him back to himself. Can’t stand him in pain

I met Wesson 6 years ago, as a rescue she was very thin after having and weening off a litter of 6 since then she’s spent her life getting the best foods, meeting new friends, exploring almost every state on the east coast, and always being up for the next adventure, she lives people more then almost anything and brings a smile to everybody’s face she meets, she is loved by so many! Recently after numerous tests and speaking g with the oncologist at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists we were told that our little girl has cancer that is effecting her lymph nodes, although she’s still very much normal on the outside we know that she doesn’t have a lot of time without treatment, and we aren’t ready to say goodbye anytime soon. Wesson meets any person and automatically becomes that persons favorite dog! She has a way about her that is so caring yet playful and just wants to be involved when she sees other people having a good time! She can convince anyone to sneak her bites under the table and gives the best kisses all over your face, she has an amazing talent of high fives and ability to catch treats! After a huge unexpected expense of having nowhere to live and with many animals under my care(some needing daily meds) I have depleted my emergency funds In the home buying process and could not have seen this big surprise coming, any help would mean the world to us.

Lola is a 6 year old English bulldog who came into my family's lives in 2021 given to us by a close friend.She came at a quite chaotic time. We were moving out of my childhood home of 12 years which as you may know moving isn't easy. Shortly after we found a house that we stayed at for almost two years. Suddenly after we had to move to another house. Which caused financial stress on us. We live in a wooded area and close to the noisy part of the city. Lola was in our backyard and she heard a loud noise causing her to take off and fall into a wooden pallet we had in our backyard. From Lola being top heavy she got caught in it and broke her front right leg basically in half. She has seen a vet and got a xray on it to see the damage. So now she just needs a diagnostic consultation. Lola loves car rides, belly rubs, especially food and treats. For a dog she has ways. She can be lazy and stubborn when she wants to be but she is a very lovable, playful and a protective dog. One of her favorite things to play with that is very odd are cardboard boxes she enjoys ripping them up and making a mess. Her second favorite toy that she loves is an oversized teddy bear. She is spoiled. Moving a couple times in the span of 2-3 years has caused financial stress on our family. I am asking for help with a consultation and the surgery which is ranging between 2500-3000$ based on the extent of her injury. It’ll mean everything to me to see her back normal! <3 <3

Hi, wonderful new friends! My name is Chilli, but I also go by my many nicknames. Chilli bean, bean pod, chilli dog, chilli reono, beans or beanie. I was born in November; I am 3 years old. I was given to my human parent when I was 10 weeks old. I still live at home with my mom and adopted siblings lol. I love to make new friends wherever I go! Even concerts and festivals:) Chilli has to have his all of his teeth pulled as he was born with too many teeth for his small mouth. Chilli only weighs 2.7lbs at his adult weight, so he is a teacup chihuahua. Chilli has been struggling to eat and his mouth hurts. Chilli likes going to Dutch to get pup cups. his favorite toy is his Lamby. Chilli is my world, I love him! <3 I have been struggling to make ends meet. I left an abusive relationship after 8 years. I had to move home as my ex left me in credit card debt. I'm a school bus driver, summer we don't have work. I'm trying to find work; my car and phone are also needing repaired.

BARC (Fenton, MO) In October 2003, BARC’s humble spay/neuter program was born. Our first program provided 100 free cat spays for families on government assistance. It was born after years of rescue and volunteering at the pound 6 or 7 days a week. We’d finally came to the realization that we could never adopt our way out of pet overpopulation, not even with the help of every rescue group in town. There would never enough homes for all of the animals continually entering the area shelters. We felt like St. Louis was drowning in unwanted animals. Thousands of dogs and cats are still euthanized every year, despite all of the wonderful efforts and work of so many shelters and rescue groups. We knew we had to refocus our efforts and take a more proactive approach. One of the things we had learned from our time volunteering was that the majority of people relinquishing animals at shelters simply could not afford to fix their pets. Pet overpopulation and poverty go hand in hand, so there was an obvious solution … we needed to fix pets for people who could not afford to do so. Today, BARC provides year-round spay/neuter surgeries for low-income family pets. We target this audience as poverty and shelter overpopulation go hand in hand. By providing additional spay/neuter funding, families won't have to worry about unplanned litters and finding homes for them. Since we started our program in 2003, BARC has provided more than 72,000 free or low cost spay/neuters for low-income families. We continue to gain momentum, with 4,704 surgeries in 2023 for pets of those families most in need. BARC subsidizes over 600 dog and cat surgeries per month in the St. Louis and Rolla, Missouri areas. We cannot adopt our way out of pet overpopulation, but we can "fix" out way out of it. Spay/neuter is the ONLY way to end pet overpopulation. Mission: BARC is a non-profit all-volunteer organization dedicated to animal welfare. We obtained our (501C3) status in 2002. Our mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats by promoting and providing spay/neuter surgeries for pets of low-income families. Our passion to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs is strong. We will stay steadfast in our efforts. We won’t stop until we get to ZERO euthanasia, and we know it can be done!

Pits R Us All Breed Rescue And Adoptions Tutu’s Table is a Pet Food Pantry designed primarily for dog and cat owners to pick up food to feed their pets when facing a financial hardship. Tutu's Table is a Pet Food Pantry designed primarily for dog and cat owners to pick up food to feed their pets when facing a financial hardship. Tutu's Table is open to any pet owner who cannot afford to feed their pets but who are trying to keep them in their homes. This applies to housed and unhoused pet owners. We work with our homeless population as well, and go into the camps and provide food and treats. Tutu's Table relies on donations and support. Without funding, we cannot continue to provide pet owners with food to feed their pets. Mission Pits R’ Us is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to aid stray, abandoned, and neglected animals. We take the many animals that are sick, injured, pregnant, or in danger of being euthanized, so they can have a chance to heal and get ready for their fur ever homes! In order to provide these services, we work with the community shelters, rescue organizations, and individuals who have animals with special needs and place these animals in permanent homes after they reach a stage of wellness. Many of our rescued animals, especially those that were rescued from the shelters initially had kennel cough, pneumonia,some are pregnant, severely injured, and in some cases paralyzed. We are a 100% Volunteer Based, none of our Board Members or foster families are paid for their time. We are also foster based, we do not have a facility, all of our animals are in a foster home where they get the same attention they would as if they were our own pet.

Hi this is Bogie(Boogie). He is our 11month old puppy. He has a big brother dog Jester and big sister cat Snowball. He also has little human sister Faith who he loves so much. Sleeps in her bed every night. Loves to play and snuggle. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old. Took him to emergency vet and they found that he had IMHA. Which is usually found in older dogs. It’s an autoimmune issue where his body is attacking his RBC and his bone marrow isn’t producing new RBC. He needs blood transfusions to get his count up. It is at 17%. That day we brought him home next day back in er count went to 9%. He needs blood transfusions to help him. Our little boy has his big brother dog and cat as best friends. His blood sister dog lives down the street from us. He loves to play and have fun. Love to cuddle and give kisses. He loves his human sister so much he looks after her like he’s her baby sitter. He loves all toys. I am on disability and it makes it hard to pay for this big bill for him. He is a family member who we love so much. I am trying to do side work from home to help pay for things he needs.

Snoopy is a rescue. At the age of 6, his owners decided to move into a pet restricted community. Snoopy was living in the owners trucking company building for 6 I had just lost my soulmate from 16 years, was unconsoulable. I agreed to meet him, felt guilty & I took him. He is my love, the best boy!! Snoopy gets very overwhelmwd and barks to the extent he can't breath or calm down. He does this in the car and at daycare. He then went into respiratory failure. He had to be sedated and incubated. He cant be out in heat, or do anything that will cause this situation without sedation.The vet said he was probably going to die. Snoopy is the 1st boy dog I have had, and he is a HUGE lovey!! Loves cuddles, kisses and snuggling while he is getting his tummy rubbed.He isnt a runner because he loves me.He has this funny noise he makes when he wants something. Not a growl but I throat noise. Its so funny and cute. He hangs his head if he has done something wrong, so I can immediatley know he has gotten into something. I havent been working full time for over 1 year. But trying to find a new job. I have a mortgage,maintence,insurance,car payment and all utilities to pay but not enough money. I just started collecting unemployment but it doesnt cover 90% of my expenses. I need Snoopy.

So I was able to brush his teeth then it got out of hand where I was missing days, weeks, months and now it’s bad that he needs teeth pulled! I take him to the vet yearly and he is healthy otherwise! He really needs his teeth pulled and cleaned and I just can’t afford it He his a loving little guy. He loves kids, other dogs, and people just in general! He walks up to greet everyone he sees and is not afraid of getting belly rubs. lol he is a sweet boy It will the world to me and him to have him back eating better again and being able To smile and not be ashamed of his teeth because of his owner bad habits! Once he is better I will do my best to keep His mouth clean and healthy
