Daisy Mae is a rescue that came into my life in June 2019 and I will NEVER be the same! She is the LIGHT of my life! She now has IVDD and her back legs are paralyzed, she’s being treated with steroids, and the vet is hopeful she could recover. But, all of this has been & will continue to be very expensive & I am a cancer patient. So we need donations for Daisy! Every day Daisy gets to go to the park with my mom’s yorkie, Lucy, and they have a blast. They are best friends. Lucy barks a lot, but Daisy always remains calm & loves her toys, her treats, her uncle Kevin, her mee maw, and her mama’s bed at night! She has the energy of a much younger dog at 10 years. She is a very happy dachshund, she runs very fast at the park, loves to play with Lucy. Daisy has a look for everything: for I’m hungry, I want to be loved on, I want to play, I want to sleep, I want to go outside, I’m annoyed with you 😂 she has quite the personality! She is so loving, sweet, and never leaves my side. She is my reason for getting up every day right now. I don’t know what I’d do without Daisy! Daisy is my JOY. She is a patient at The Cooper Veterinary Clinic in West Monroe, LA. She has IVDD & has lost feeling in her back legs but the vet is optimistic that with steroids, crate rest, PT, and acupuncture that she could recover. We want to do whatever it takes for Daisy I lost my job as a pharmaceutical representative in January of 2022 due to a rare, incurable cancer of the endocrine system. I have no income at this time. I’m living with my elderly mother who is on a very fixed income. I have applied for SSI, but no word on that.

Tico

Tico is a 7-year-old Long Haired Chihuahua who needs $1,700 for Left humeral fracture stabilization.

When my mother and I went to the breeder's house for different puppy we ended up not really connecting with so we where permitted to view the other puppies. There, around the corner, barely peaking over the dog bed, was a tiny fluff with huge ears. At that moment, I knew that was he was supposed to be with us. His name comes from Dora the Explora. The little purple squirrel: Hola TICO!!! Tico is fairly calm for a Chihuahua. His favorite place to nap is near a sunny window on the back of the sofa. Achilles(Cane Corso/Pitbull), Tico's little big brother, has been watching over Tico like a hawk since Tico's injury. If Achilles hears Tico struggling with something, he runs over to him to see what's wrong. Tico has also 3 human siblings who he loves to get cuddles and head rubs from. When Tico goes outside in the spring and summer time, he will try and find buttercup flowers to roll in. Tico wasn't thrilled when I brought my daughter home, him being the baby of the family for so long, but recently, before his injury, he had started to bring his toys and play with her. Tico's favorite food is steamed broccoli. Tico went outside 03/27/2022, to go potty. When he finally came back inside, he had a bad limp (left front), swollen face and blood in his eye. Watched the camera footage of that night to find out what happened but they showed nothing. X-rays from our local vet shown it was broken and cost $3800-$4200 to fix it. We live check to check and we need serious help because amputation is the last option. This was a sudden and unexpected emergency that we were totally unprepared for. Tico hasn't had much healthy issues but this is the biggest and one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make. This hurts me to my core that I can't help my best friend.

I rescued Honey, when she was a baby they were going to euthanize her. I was a victim of a violent crime and left disabled. Honey is my protector and best friend. I don't know what I would do without her. Please Help! Honey completely tore her ACL with meniscus prolapse and needs surgery. Lily came into our life over 8 years ago, completely by accident. A friend of ours got her when she was only a few weeks old and weighed less than 3 pounds. Unfortunately, the friend was unable to keep her shortly after adopting her and turned to us to rescue her. We accepted and she has been a part of our lives ever since. We never intended to adopt Lily, but we’re glad we have her now. Lily’s favourite thing in the world to do is to play fetch. We’ve spent hours throwing toys for her to chase. But when she’s not playing fetch, she LOVES to curl up in some nice warm blankets with her humans and hang out with us. Whenever she gets treats she stands up on her hind legs and walks around to get a better look. She’s definitely silly, we even call her “Lily-so-silly”. As I said, her name is “Lily-so-silly” for a reason. She may be 8, but she’s a puppy at heart and doesn’t let us forget that. She gets into mischief whether she’s trying to chase lizards in the front yard, finding a way to get to the people food we have hidden away, or simply wanting someone to help her get to her favourite toy. On December 13th, Lily’s face began to swell up like seen in the first two pictures. The next day we took her to our veterinarian. The vet initially thought it was an allergic reaction. However, now we know she requires a tooth abstraction and the swelling of her face is only getting worse. This dog is everything to us. We just recently moved to Las Vegas and it has been difficult financially at times. We just want our Lily-so-silly to be her silly self again, she has been absolutely heartbroken and so sad ever since her face started swelling.

Pooch Savers Rescue was contacted by a friend of Lucy's owner. We were told she was unable to care of her, as that she needed to go into assisted living. As so often happens, when an owners health begins to decline, their pets are often neglected...this could not have been more true for sweet Lucy. We met Lucy at a nearby vet so we could have her rabies updated. We were warned that she had a dental issue, however we were not prepared for how badly she smelled...12 years of rescue and we were taken aback! Matted hair, nasty smelling drool, obvious skin infection, paw pads not visible due to overgrowth. First things first, we immediately shaved her down, cleaning her ears of hair and debris, and shaved her paw pads. Then came a nice soothing medicated bath...she was beginning to feel better, but we knew there was more to do. We don't know how long the teeth were a problem but it had to be many months if not years! The owner fed her chicken and hot dogs, "the good kind", according to her! Noah's Ark, the vet who did the dental knew from the pictures I'd taken, that the dog was miserable and this needed to be addresses ASAP. They put her on an antibiotic and pain med and scheduled the surgery a week later. The teeth were in deplorable condition, but after numerous extractions and extensive deep gum cleaning, she emerged triumphant! She's on her way to back to full health! Pooch Savers takes in dogs whose owners can no longer care for. We do everything we can to get the dog everything it needs to thrive, then we painstakingly search for a family who will love and care of them for the rest of their life...The need is enormous!

Help Chico Get Life-Saving Cardiac Care After Losing His Home

Chico is a 10-year-old Chihuahua who has spent his entire life deeply loved. His owner made sure he was always cared for — she had him neutered, kept him current on vaccines, and even provided daily pain medication to ease his arthritis. But when her own health declined and she had to move into a nursing home, she was heartbroken to say goodbye to her loyal companion. One By One stepped in to help Chico, determined to make sure this sweet senior would continue receiving the care he deserves. During his recent veterinary visit, it became clear that Chico’s health is fragile and he needs urgent follow-up care. His exam revealed abnormalities on his bloodwork, severe dental disease requiring extractions, and — most concerning — an abnormal heart rhythm and unusual heart sounds. While listening to him, the veterinarian noted a possible arrhythmia and even observed his tongue turning a shade of purple, suggesting possible low oxygen levels. These findings make a full cardiac workup essential before any dental surgery can safely be performed. Chico now needs an echocardiogram, ECG, and cardiac consultation with a specialist. These tests will determine whether he requires medication and how to safely proceed with his dental treatment. Unfortunately, the specialty clinic requires payment at the time of service, and the cost for the cardiac workup is $1,300. Additional expenses include: • Dental extractions estimated at $500 • Senior bloodwork already performed: $150 Although this sounds like a lot, Chico is only 10 years old and still has many happy years ahead of him with proper care. Helping him now not only improves his quality of life, but also brings tremendous comfort to the owner who loved him for so long and wants to know he is safe and cared for. Your donation will help Chico receive the cardiac testing he urgently needs and move forward with life-improving treatment. Together, we can show Chico — and the people who love him — that senior dogs matter, and they deserve every chance to live their best life. 4/29/26 Update Yesterday, Chico made the long trip to MedVet for his full cardiology consultation, including an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) and ECG, and we truly received the best news we could have hoped for. While the veterinarian did confirm that Chico has two mildly leaky heart valves, these changes are considered age- and breed-related and, thankfully, do not require cardiac medication at this time. Even better — Chico has officially been cleared for anesthesia under a monitored cardiac protocol. This means we can now move forward with the next major step in his healing: addressing the severe dental disease that has likely been causing him chronic pain for quite some time. For a tiny senior dog, bad teeth are not just cosmetic — they are painful, dangerous, and can affect the entire body. Infected teeth and diseased gums can make eating miserable, worsen inflammation, and continue putting strain on his health if left untreated. Now that his heart has been evaluated, Chico desperately needs his dental procedure and extractions scheduled as soon as possible so he can finally eat comfortably, feel better, and enjoy the happy golden years he deserves. But we still need your help to get him there. The cardiology visit was a huge expense, and we are now actively fundraising for Chico’s upcoming dental surgery. Fred was born with his sister on September 6th 2020. His mother passed so I had to bottle freed them. So we are very bonded. Fred is a very sweet boy who loves cuddles any time any where even in the bathroom he holds my hand. He lives with 12 other dogs shared by the family and is closest to his sister his dad and my lab who treats him as her puppy. He got into a fight with one of our dogs and as a result his ear got split open near the tip it’s been bleeding for a week despite the snood. I took him to Willis animal hospital where the wrapped and prescribed meds. He was referred to a surgeon in Houston called Claybrook Animal Hospital I was quoted 500 to 1000 dollars I’m on social Security income and can’t afford that. he needs this asap He is a loving dog that follows me everywhere I go he’s my cuddle bug and is always making sure I nearby he’s one of my babies and I love him very very much I’m on social security income and can not afford the money need for the surgery this is the first time this has ever happened. I hate seeing him suffer. I don’t want him to die from something so easy to fix if I had money

This is Brandy. She is my emotional support dog. She is the last of my two beloved momma and poppa dogs(Gordo and Ruby, seen in pictures with her). We were evicted from our home last summer. My two boys, her brothers, were beautiful and very love, were taken by the pound. And my beautiful momma, Ruby died in my car.We were devastated. Brandy became my emotional support thru my severe depression. Brandy got sick. She didn't eat, but drinks lots of water and had become bloated. She began bleeding a lot from her vagina. I had no money, but luckily a good friend lent me the money to take to Veterinary Emergency Center of Redlands. And the Vet told me she has pyometra which is life-threatening. Her uterus is full of infected fluid and needs immediate surgical removal of the uterus and ovaries. There were 4 in Ruby's litter. Two boys and two girls. They were so cute and we ended up keeping them all. You can imagine 6 put bulls. But they were raised well and loved as they were our own children. It was challenging, exciting, fun with many enjoyable memories. Didn't raise them to fight, but grow together as a pack. As family, and they were our children. Momma, poppa, and the babies. We had a nice house around the corner from my mom. It was our home for 14 yrs. It was sold and for a short time, after a long exhausting fight to keep our home, we became homeless thru the hot summer of 2025. My boys were put to sleep before I could rescued. And my Ruby died

Phantasia has always been part of the heart behind Flying Pigs Sanctuary. She belongs to the family who helps care for so many rescued animals. However, in a devastating accident, Phantasia’s back leg was run over and crushed. What started as an ordinary day turned into an emergency no one could have prepared for. She was rushed in for immediate care, and the only way to save her leg was a complex surgery costing $6,000. Her family, who gives so much to help animals in need, simply did not have the means to cover such an overwhelming expense. So Flying Pigs Sanctuary stepped in for her—just as they do for so many others. Phantasia underwent the surgery and, thankfully, she is recovering beautifully.
