Meet Chance, a sweet dog whose life changed in an instant after suffering a devastating shattered pelvis. Despite the severity of her injuries, Chance is alive, safe, and fighting — and now she urgently needs our help to get through the long road ahead. Chance is currently hospitalized at Southern California Animal Hospital in Riverside, CA, where she is being stabilized and medically managed while she waits for orthopedic surgery scheduled for 5/28. Right now, her medical team is focused on keeping her comfortable, controlling her pain, and ensuring she remains stable enough to undergo surgery safely. Her injuries are severe, and her recovery will be long and intensive. Once surgery is completed, we will have a better understanding of the full extent of the repairs needed, how she handled anesthesia, and what her rehabilitation process will involve. What we do know already is that Chance will require extensive follow-up care, strict medical boarding, repeat imaging, medications, specialized supplies, and months of recovery support. At this time, Chance’s known expected medical expenses are over $3,000 — and that does not include possible complications, rehabilitation, additional medications, or unexpected medical needs that may arise during recovery. This is an enormous commitment, but Chance deserved the chance to survive and heal. She deserves the opportunity to recover without pain and to someday experience safety, comfort, and love again. Four Puppies Fighting Parvo Need Emergency Help

Woof Tribe is currently fighting for the lives of four puppies — Mater, McQueen, Cruz, and Flo — who are facing a devastating parvo outbreak alongside upper respiratory infections (URI). Parvo is an aggressive and deadly virus that can kill puppies quickly without immediate treatment, and the added respiratory infections make their cases even more critical. When we rushed them for emergency care, we were quoted nearly $15,000 per puppy at VCA — a total far beyond what our small rescue can manage while already handling multiple emergency medical cases. But waiting is not an option. These puppies need treatment now if they are going to survive. All four puppies are receiving urgent supportive care, including isolation, fluids, monitoring, medications, and monoclonal antibody treatment. These antibodies help provide immediate immune support by fighting the parvo virus while the puppies’ bodies try to recover. While not a guaranteed cure, they can significantly improve a puppy’s chance of survival when given early. Our immediate known expenses have already reached $7,086.56, and we know these costs can rise quickly with parvo cases. Complications, additional medications, fluids, rechecks, and emergency interventions are often needed without warning. Every dollar donated goes directly toward saving Mater, McQueen, Cruz, and Flo. Kaya came into my daughter’s and granddaughter’s lives a little over four months ago after being rescued from a shelter. She had been surrendered by the family of her original owner after that owner passed away. At first, Kaya was timid, missing her former owner and adjusting to life after the shelter. With tender loving care, patience, and attention, she quickly began to feel safe and loved. Kaya, my granddaughter’s beloved 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, is in urgent need of emergency veterinary care. In just moments, she somehow pulled an albuterol inhaler down from a tall dresser and chewed through the canister, ingesting the medication while my granddaughter had briefly stepped out of the room. Immediately called vet and she was rushed to Animal ER of the Western Slope to save her. Kaya is a deeply loved member of the family and an important source of emotional support for both my daughter and granddaughter, who live with PTSD after severe trauma. She curls up beside my granddaughter at night and helps her sleep peacefully, and her bark at the door brings a sense of comfort and security to them both. Kaya loves visiting her “doggie cousin”. My daughter, a single mother, survived a devastating house fire, years of treatment, and the loss of her car. Now the replacement vehicle needs over $7,000 in repairs, and Kaya’s emergency care is beyond her means. Without help, she may lose their beloved puppy.

Dozer, my son and I live in a family members home. We are all blessed to have access to a beautiful, fenced in yard that both boys enjoy running and playing in! Dozer is a very happy and energetic pup and he is lucky enough to enjoy our fenced in backyard. Sometimes he enjoys it a little bit too much and runs more than he should. Recently he was playing with a friend’s dog and they played just a bit too hard and he tore his ACL. Dozer is more than just a dog — he is family, a best friend, and an emotional support companion for my autistic child. He seems to know exactly when my child needs comfort and has brought so much stability & love into our lives. Now, Dozer needs help. We recently learned he needs a major surgery, and the cost is more than I can manage on my own as a single mom working three jobs. I am a divorced, only parent to my 5 year old son. His disability requires that I have a very flexible schedule so I work 3 part time jobs to make ends meet. I truly have no extra $ and would appreciate ANY help we can get.

When the call came in about a dog lying on the local train tracks, bleeding heavily, her leg torn completely away… our hearts dropped. It’s not something we encounter often. But we have seen it before. And the cases like this stay with you. They replay in your mind long after the emergency is over. Witnesses said the train struck her. There was blood everywhere. Kind strangers pulled her off the tracks while waiting for us, but even then it was clear—she was fading fast. The injury is devastating. Where her leg once was, there is now exposed muscle, shattered bone, and severe trauma. She’s severely underweight. Covered in parasites. And infection has already begun to set in. Her body was struggling long before this happened. Now it’s fighting on every front just to stay alive. There are so many unknowns. And no easy answers. Right now, she is at the sanctuary with our veterinary team, being stabilized. We are controlling the bleeding, cleaning and protecting the wound, and managing her pain aggressively—because no living being should endure suffering like this. We’re running diagnostics to check for internal injuries and organ damage that may not yet be visible. But here is the urgent truth: she needs emergency surgery. The remaining portion of her leg must be amputated to prevent the trauma from turning into a life-threatening systemic infection. It is her only real chance at survival. Abandoned, Burned, and Left to Suffer — Help Save Plushy

Plushy did not choose this life. She is one of the stray dogs from our TNVR pack — a quiet, gentle girl who would always come to greet us. A little shy, but always soft, always grateful for food, kindness, and the small moments of safety we could give her. This past winter was brutal, but Plushy survived because we fed and cared for the dogs in the area. We sterilized nearly all of them to help stop the endless cycle of suffering these street dogs face every day. But we could not protect her from everything. A few days ago, Plushy stopped coming around. She disappeared without a trace. When we finally saw her again, she could barely stand. The injury covering her side was horrifying. Plushy has suffered a severe chemical burn, and the veterinarian believes it was caused by acid or a similar substance intentionally poured onto her body. We may never know exactly who did this or why. What we do know is that Plushy is in terrible pain and fighting to survive. As we learned more, the heartbreak deepened. Plushy was not born a stray. She once had an owner — a man struggling with alcoholism who abandoned her back in December. After being dumped, she joined the stray pack, trying to survive however she could. Despite everything humans have done to her, Plushy remains gentle. We rushed her to the clinic immediately. She now needs urgent surgery, intensive wound care, medications, and constant monitoring to give her a chance at recovery. Her burns are extensive, painful, and life-threatening. And when she is stable enough to leave the hospital, we cannot send her back to the streets where she was abandoned and harmed. There are no foster homes available in the area, so Plushy will need to stay at the clinic’s pet hotel while she heals. Her recovery will be long, complicated, and expensive — but abandoning her is simply not an option. There is so much cruelty in this world that we cannot control. The neglect. The abuse. The suffering these dogs are forced to endure just to stay alive. But this moment — this chance to save Plushy — is something we can change together. Junyper Faye Yontz is our 2-year-old Merle Corgi who lives with our family, including her human and fur siblings. She is deeply loved and known around town for riding in the school pickup line with her head out the window making kids smile and wave. She is an indoor family dog who is always by our side and brings constant joy and comfort to our home. Junyper was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease after suffering tremors, lethargy, and weakness. After starting medication, she went into a life-threatening Addisonian crisis and had to be rushed to the ER for emergency treatment and overnight hospitalization. Her veterinarians are at Country Acres Animal Clinic. Junyper helped heal our family after the tragic loss of my soul dog while I was pregnant. By the time help arrived, Pista was exhausted and suffering. Thankfully, rescuers from the Stray Animal Foundation of India stepped in, bringing him to safety and rushing him to their veterinary team. He was finally getting the care he so desperately needed. After a full examination, a treatment plan was put in place, and Pista’s healing journey began. But recovery doesn’t happen overnight. Pista will need ongoing medical care, medication, and support as his body slowly heals from the pain he’s endured.
