Macaroni

Macaroni is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis , MN, who needs $1,365 for Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment.

Minneapolis, MN

Mac (Macaroni - full government name) came into my life when she was 4 weeks old. She was found on a farm in Ohio where she had gotten worms, fleas, and ticks. I welcomed her into my life and nursed her back to health. It has been such a joy being able to watch her grow up into the beautiful, sassy girl she is. She currently lives here in Minnesota with me and her brother, Cheeze. Mac needs dental treatment to help her continue to live a long, happy life. I am looking to have her seek treatment from Access Veterinary Clinic in Crystal, Minnesota. They have always taken such good care of my kitties. I want Mac to continue to live the best life she can as she is still so young. Mac is a sweet, kind-hearted girl. She loves her people and is a great cuddler. She is always so welcoming to whoever I bring into the house. The spring toy is her top priority, she can be busy with one for hours on end. She loves to soak up sun on a cozy spot on a couch. Mac is great at communicating boundaries and loves attention. She will even let me hold her like a baby, as she is my first. As I am on a limited income as a young adult trying to navigate this strange world we live in, Mac and I appreciate all donations. There is no better feeling than knowing that you are doing the best you can for a fur baby. And that is what I am doing, my best.

Derek

Derek is a 7 year old American Shorthair in elk grove , CA, who needs $2,000 for Fluid Buildup Removal and Sent to Lab.

elk grove, CA

Derek was left behind when his owner moved. Derek follow my daughter so she brought him home. I could not afford another pet as I already have a dog. But he is such a sweet heart and out of compassion, I had to keep him once I knew him. Never thought that only 2 years with him, he got sick out of the blue. I had to adopt him and the animal service said he was 5 years at the time. so he is now 7. Recently I notice Derek look skinny all of a sudden and the next thing his stomach got big. No other sign or symptoms. Thought he ate to much food outside. Then it gotten worse. Took him to vet, they say fluid build up maybe heart failure or heart mur mur/ irregular and it would cost a lot of money to treat him. They say need to remove fluid. xray etc. can be $1000-5000. He use to be abuse and was defensive when I first met him, but now he's the sweetest boy.He use to look at me with those glass eye but now he think I am his mom. My daughter is the reason I kept him. Don't know how to break it to her. If I can't take him to the emergency, he may only live a few day. My daughter just went to school away from home and don't know to break it to her. So sad. I am one income. Got two kids in college. Recently, my company got brought out by private equity and all of a sudden they had to reduce hours. At this moment, I struggle to get enough hours just to have medical insurance by traveling far to pick up hours. but not guarantee

Peanut

Peanut is a 12 year old American Shorthair in Athens, AL, who needs $1,000 for Congenital Heart Disease Ongoing Care & Medication.

Athens, AL

Peanut has been a very important part of my life since the moment he was born.He grew into a gentle, affectionate cat who has always loved being near people. Peanut is the kind of cat who makes every guest feel welcome—he’ll jump up beside them or roll over to show his belly. He has been by my side for 12 years, offering companionship, laughter, and comfort through life’s hardest moments. Peanut was diagnosed with congenital heart disease, a condition he has lived with for many years that requires ongoing care to monitor his condition and determine whether his medications need to be adjusted. This ongoing care is critical to managing his heart disease and giving him the best quality of life possible. He's under the care of Dr. Jessica Tully at Southpaw Animal Clinic in Madison, AL. Peanut has one of the warmest, most affectionate personalities I’ve ever known in a cat. He loves attention and never misses a chance to curl up in my lap or gently nudge my hand for more pets.He also has a playful side—he loves chasing toys, batting at strings, and even tries to “help” me with chores by following me everywhere.Despite his condition,he has never allowed it to get the better of him This year has been challenging for my family, with both Peanut and his sister Skyler both needing veterinary care at the same time, it has stretched us beyond our limits. We’ve depleted our savings.Your support will give him the chance to keep fighting and get the needed care.

Photo of Solita

Solita

Solita is a 8 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Houston, TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Debridement and Daily Bandage Changes.

Houston, TX

I found Solita abandoned on the street in 2018. She was scared, aggressive, and clearly tossed aside but we saw something in her worth saving. We named her “Solita” because she seemed like a lonely little girl. Over time, she transformed into the most nurturing soul in our home. We now have five rescues, and Solita has become their gentle guardian. Her nickname is “Mama” because she comforts us. Solita was attacked, leaving her with puncture wounds on her arm and chest, a broken toe, and traumatic tissue damage. The initial veterinary clinic wrapped her injuries, but she quickly developed necrotic skin that they couldn’t treat. We rushed her to Gulf Coast Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Houston, where the specialists found the infection had spread to her muscle. requiring daily care Solita is the heart of our home. She’s gentle, watchful, and full of love especially toward the other rescues. Despite her rough past, she became our “Mama dog,” checking on the others like a little nurse, especially when someone’s feeling off. She doesn’t bark much, but she grumbles and huffs to let you know she’s paying attention Her favorite place is the sunspot in the backyard. We are on fixed income and We didn’t have an emergency fund large enough to cover this kind of crisis. We’ve spent what we could, but the treatments Solita needs aren’t slowing down. terrified that without help, we won’t be able to save her leg. Solita means everything to us
