Zoe is my sweet, loving cat and has been by my side for many years. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and has always been a source of comfort and companionship. She came into my life as a pet but became family, and we have been there for each other through some very difficult times. Zoe was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma on June 24, 2026, after experiencing recurring vomiting since March. She is receiving chemotherapy at Integrated Veterinary Oncology (IVO). After seven treatments, she is in remission, but she must continue treatment to give her the best chance of staying in remission. Zoe is my emotional support animal and has been beside me through some of the hardest times in my life. After a violent carjacking left me with permanent vision problems and physical limitations, Zoe provided comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. Now that she needs me, I want to be there for her. I am unemployed due to lasting injuries that limit my ability to work. I have relied on family, friends, and bartering my time to pay for Zoe’s care, but those resources are exhausted. I am asking for help so Zoe can complete her cancer treatment.

Peaches: Her Surgery Was Only the Beginning

Peaches is a happy, loving hound mix with a goofy personality, a love for belly rubs, and plenty of hugs and kisses to give. But behind that happy face is a medical journey that began before she ever had the chance to experience life as a typical house dog. Peaches was born with congenital urinary tract issues. Her ureters were too short and did not properly connect to her bladder, and she was also born without a urethral sphincter, leaving her without normal control of her urine. After completing her heartworm treatment, Peaches underwent surgery to correct her urinary tract issues. Her surgery was an important step, but it wasn't the end of her journey. Although Peaches is now healthy, she does not urinate like a typical dog. Her urine comes out in drips rather than a normal stream, and it can take her a long time to fully empty her bladder. She may still need doggie diapers, making a fenced yard especially important so she has the time and space to take care of herself comfortably. These ongoing needs can make finding the right foster or adoptive home more challenging. For now, Peace4Paws continues to care for Peaches while searching for the right patient and understanding home for her. Peaches' journey began in Kentucky, where she was abandoned and left to live outdoors. Many of the things we might take for granted with a house dog are completely new to her. She's learning what it means to live indoors, be cared for, and feel safe—and she is taking it all in with the happy, loving spirit that makes her so special. Along the way, Peaches has overcome heartworm and Lyme disease and undergone surgery to correct her congenital urinary tract issues. Through it all, she has remained loving, brave, and eager to bond with the people around her. Her ongoing care comes with recurring expenses, including: $350 annually for doggie diapers $350 annually for vaccines and veterinary visits $200 annually for a wellness exam with blood and urine testing $2,100 for three months of room and board to keep Peaches safe These may seem like ordinary expenses, but for Peaches, they are an essential part of the lifelong care she needs because of her condition. Max is gentle, loyal, loving, and always seems to know when someone needs comfort. He has a sweet personality and a way of making people smile just by being near them. Through some of the hardest moments in my life, Max stayed close and gave me unconditional love. He is more than a pet. He is my best friend, my family, and a little soul who has brought so much love and happiness into my life. Max recently began showing signs that something was wrong. His veterinarian found dental issues requiring treatment, including possible extractions. Additional testing also raised concerns about his liver, so he now needs an ultrasound and further diagnostics to determine the best course of care. Max sleeps above my head every night, always close enough to comfort me. His love is completely unconditional. After a bad day, seeing that wagging tail when I come home can change everything. He gives me a kind of love and comfort I never knew I needed. I can cover some of Max’s care, but the extensive veterinary bills are more than I can manage alone. At just 8 weeks old, Jedidiah was thrown from a moving vehicle like he was nothing more than garbage. The terrifying incident left this tiny puppy with severe road rash, a broken clavicle, and a broken leg at the elbow. But his physical injuries were only the beginning of the challenges Jed would face. For the next six weeks, Jed was on strict crate rest and unable to put weight on his injured leg. Instead of spending those important early weeks exploring his world, meeting new people, and learning how to be a puppy, Jed was confined to his crate while his body healed. By the time he was ready to experience the world again, he was afraid of almost everything. People scared him. Leaves scared him. Doors scared him. And going outside? That was especially frightening. Jed had survived a traumatic start to life, but he still needed to learn something just as important as healing from his physical injuries: that he was safe. That's where behavioral rehabilitation came in. Maybel's Legacy has invested $3,000 in behavioral modification training to help Jed build confidence, overcome his fears, and learn the skills he missed during those critical early weeks. He is currently halfway through his training, and he is making amazing progress. Jed is learning how to be a dog. He's learning that new experiences don't have to be scary, that people can be trusted, and that the world around him can be a place to explore rather than fear. His physical rehabilitation may not have come with a veterinary bill, but helping Jed recover emotionally has required a significant investment of time, training, and resources. Donations to his campaign will help support the behavioral care that is giving this sweet puppy the opportunity to overcome his past and build a confident future. At only 6 months old, Jed has so much life ahead of him. He survived being thrown away. Now, with the right support, he is learning that he is worth protecting, worth loving, and safe in this world. I purchased Figment a little over 9 years ago from a very shady back yard breeder. She has been my “Velcro dog” ever since. I have another dog in the home and they are best friends. I named her Figment after the ride at Disney World. I am in need of help with a bladder surgery for Figment. She has a stone that is taking up at least 90% of her bladder. She was seen by a vet at Savannah Animal Hospital in Lewes, DE. Without this surgery she will remain in constant pain and have a chronic bladder infection. Figment loves anyone she meets and really loves her doggie sister Banshee. Figment loves her wubbie toys and almost always has one by her. She gives her family hugs and kisses daily, even when she’s not feeling the greatest. I have been on disability since 2006 and unable to work. I have had issues with my pancreas since age 16. For Figment to be back to her spunky self again, not in pain would mean the world to me.

She currently lives in a cozy home in Cary, NC, alongside her loving family and her cat brother, Enzo. For over 12 years, she has been a gentle, loyal companion who thrives in a warm, quiet environment, and we are doing everything possible to keep her safe in the home she loves. Our sweet dog, Holly, urgently needs surgery for a painful medical condition, and her vet says it cannot wait. I found Carlos in a horrific condition—starving, covered in fleas and parasites, and blind from severe eye infections. After rescuing him, I discovered he had chronic ear infections that had spread all the way to the bone of his skull. The damage was so severe that Carlos had a double ear canal ablation to relieve his chronic pain. Carlos was also born with a defect that left his knees severely misaligned. He now relies on two daily pain medications to manage his constant pain. Dr. Walesby at Maryland Veterinary Surgical Services can preform a surgery that will give Carlos a fresh pair of knees. He will finally be pain-free! Carlos is incredibly sweet and gentle. He loves to play when he can, adores children, and always wants to be close to his family. He also has a special bond with cats, who seem to love him just as much in return. I put all my savings into Carlos’ ear ablation surgery and have nothing left. With this final surgery, Carlos can finally live his last days pain-free.

Sometimes the smallest companions make the biggest difference. Specks, a Corgi and Heeler mix and the runt of his litter, came into my life to help with depression and anxiety. In just 6 weeks, his love and companionship have made a meaningful difference. Living with family, he brings joy every day, and his spotted coat inspired his perfect name: Specks. My puppy, Specks, is facing a possible liver shunt. His ammonia and bile acid levels are dangerously high, and he's had recurring episodes of blood in his urine requiring antibiotics. He's on a special prescription liver diet, and the next step is a CT scan and ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis and determine if he will need surgery or lifelong treatment. Specks is more than a puppy, he's my best friend and emotional support during a very difficult chapter of my life. When depression and anxiety made even simple days feel overwhelming, he brought light back into my world. Watching him fight through his medical challenges with such a happy spirit breaks my heart. He deserves every chance to live a long, healthy life, and i will never stop fighting. Specks brought light back into my life when I needed it most. It is large and attached to to inner sheath blocking his penis. He deserves the best care. Rextopher loves to play dress up with hats, go for car rides, spend time with his fur brother, Legend, and watch sunsets by the lake. His favorite toy is a stuffed golden retriever he likes to snuggle with. He absolutely loves people, attention, hugs, and snuggling. He’s everyone’s best friend. I had a failed relationship last year that put me in a single mother position. I’m trying very hard to support my 2 kids and 2 dogs. They deserve the world!
