19th Annual Mitchell Farm Music Festival: Help Keep the Horses Fed in 2027

For 19 years, music lovers and animal lovers have gathered at Mitchell Farm for a truly special experience: live 70s music, peaceful pastures, and hundreds of people coming together to support horses and donkeys who have found their forever home.

This year’s Mitchell Farm Music Festival takes place September 18–20, featuring an incredible lineup:

🎸 Friday at 7 PM: Jon Pousette-Dart Acoustic Duo
🎶 Saturday at 2:30 PM: Laurel Canyon & Broken Arrow
🎵 Sunday at 2:30 PM: Mystic Dead

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic, and settle in for a weekend of great music surrounded by Mitchell Farm’s beautiful retired horses. Food trucks will be on-site Friday through Sunday, and the entire event is tented for comfort.

But beneath the music, dancing, and fun is something incredibly important: the horses and donkeys who depend on Mitchell Farm every single day.

Mitchell Farm Equine Retirement, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) equine sanctuary providing lifelong care to horses and donkeys who have been retired from work or otherwise need a safe place to live out their lives. Their residents depend on the farm for food, veterinary care, shelter, and everything they need to remain healthy and comfortable.

The farm’s goal for this year’s Music Festival is to raise $38,000 toward the hay needed to feed our residents in 2027.

Hay isn't optional. It is one of the biggest and most essential expenses at an equine sanctuary. Every bale represents another meal for a horse or donkey who is counting on Mitchell Farm to care for them.
