Hurricane Helene & Milton Relief

While the back-to-back losses brought about by Hurricanes Helene and Milton will be felt across the Southeast for years to come, we are pleased to share a beacon of hope: our emergency relief campaign has raised just shy of $20,000.

An update: how these funds are being used

  • Animal Haven of Asheville, a volunteer-run sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates farm and companion animals, lost its bridge to flooding. Funds are going toward supplies to build a new one so the public they depend on can reach the facility again.
  • Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville is using funds for essential spay and neuter efforts after the closure of their local ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance, which lost potable water.
  • CAREFeline TNR humanely manages the stray and feral cat population through trap-neuter-return in the hardest-hit communities.

Thank you to all who supported this emergency relief campaign.
