Huey is Learning to Be Brave

Pocatello, ID • Aiding 2 Adoption Rescue

Meet Huey, a two year old gentle giant who is still learning that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place. Huey and his siblings first came to the rescue as young puppies through a partnership with Animal Control in a neighboring community. He was adopted, but eventually returned after showing reactivity toward a man in the home. Now, Huey is in the care of one of the rescue’s board members, who is also a trainer, giving him the guidance and consistency he needs to build confidence and prepare for the right forever home. New people can still make Huey nervous. He prefers to observe from a distance and decide when he feels safe enough to say hello. But give him patience (and maybe a few treats) and you’ll quickly see how eager he is to learn. Confident dogs are especially helpful for Huey. He looks to them for reassurance, learning from their example that new people, places, and experiences can be okay. Huey doesn’t need to be sheltered from the world. He needs patient people who will help him experience it safely, celebrating every walk, introduction, and brave step forward. That’s what his rescue is working to give him now. With continued training, enrichment, and dedicated care, Huey can keep making progress toward becoming the happy, confident dog everyone knows is in there. Your donation can help support Huey as he continues this important work. Every gift helps provide the time, resources, and care he needs while he waits for the family willing to believe in him. Huey isn’t asking for perfect. He just needs patience, understanding, and a chance. And he’s worth waiting for. 🐾

Help Jaws Get the Jaw Surgery He Needs

Pocatello, ID • Aiding 2 Adoption Rescue

🐾🌟 Hey friends! Our sweet Jaws has been through so much these past few weeks. After getting his face caught in a fan belt, he suffered a serious jaw injury and has already undergone two surgeries. While he's been incredibly strong through it all, he still has a long road to recovery ahead. His next step is a wired jaw procedure to help everything heal properly and get him back on the path to feeling like himself again. As you can imagine, multiple surgeries and ongoing veterinary care have added up quickly, and we're reaching out to ask for a little help with his medical expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, goes directly toward Jaws' care and gives him the best chance at a full recovery. If you're not able to donate, sharing his story with others is another wonderful way to help. Jaws has been such a fighter through everything he's faced, and we're hopeful that brighter days are ahead. We can't thank you enough for the love, kindness, and support you've shown him already. Every little bit truly makes a difference as we work to get him back to his happy, playful, purring self. Thank you all so much for being part of Jaws' journey. ❤️🐱
