Papa Laz was brought to us as a hospice from an animal rescue due to this mass on his right shoulder. He was dumped outside due to medical issues and age. The shelter did now want to put him down due to his outgoing and loving personality. Even though the mass is getting bigger and is quite painful, he continues to demand attention and cuddles. Papa Laz has this thing where he uses his paw to move your hand closer to him to pet him. Or he will put his paw on you to tell you he wants more pets. The mass needs to be removed for quality of life. It continues to grow and cause pain. However, it will be a very risky surgery due to his advanced kidney and heart issues. We want to give him the best end of life care that we possibly can. That means pain free and him able to rest and play easier. He still has so much love to give, and is not ready for the Rainbow Bridge yet.
