Trooper

Trooper is a 2-year-old Siamese Cat in Latta, SC, who needs $2,000 for Wound Cleanup.

Latta, SC • Diesels Home

Trooper was found living outside a house, while I was doing the property inspection for the homeowner. I first saw him a few months ago, and asked if I could take home, before the wound was this bad. The owner stated no, that she would treat him. Trooper is new to my household. The owner agreed to let me take him, as she cannot afford to take care of his wound that has gotten severely worse over the last three months, Trooper has lived with this would for months, and is still trusting of humans, and still has a will to live. Trooper is such a sweet boy. While his wound is devastating, he makes me smile that he is still a sweet boy that deserves a chance, Unsure what caused this wound as Trooper was an outside cat at a home an hour away from me. When I first met him, the wound was a lot smaller. Without treatment, the wound has grown grotesquely. He needs some help. I work three jobs to stay afloat with the basic household bills and gas for work, as I work on the road. I am currently responsible for the care of have 4 dogs, 3 puppies, 13 cats, 2 momma cats with 14 kittens, collectively, 7 other kittens, and a stray under my house

Raider

Raider is a 8-year-old Pit Mix in Latta, SC, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery.

Latta, SC • Diesels Home

Raider was an owner surrender that was left at the shelter. I had recently lost my Rottweiler and went to see what they had available. They didn't know his story, but all he did was hide by the back of the kennel. We decided to take him home with us. It took over a year for him to walk through a doorway. We would literally have to go outside and carry him through the doors. Raise lives in a home with a minimum of 16 other animals, Over the years I have rescued and saved many dogs.puppies and cats/kittens, Raider is the only one of the 17 that was chosen by adoption. The rest are rescues that I could not find homes for, Currently, I have the 17 plus a foster mom and 6 kittens and 2 foster puppies. I have had as many as 32 in here before, Raider welcomes them all Raider is awesome. He puts up with all the animals that have come through my doors over the years, He loves to lay right up against me at night and is always near where I am sitting. He talks a lot and sounds like Charlie Browns teacher. He is very protective of the younger animals in the house, and loves my granddaughters Raider has been very healthy. A stray dog showed up at the neighbors, they decided to feed her but allow her to run free. The dog runs along side the outside of my fence, Raider and the small dog pictured with him were guarding their fence line and Raider tore his ACL. I work 4 jobs to feed/ care for all. Everything is out of pocket. With the rising cost of food. litter, etc and gas for work, I have exhausted my savings, and have put on credit cards, Raider is my heart. He helped heal my heart after my Rottie died, unexpectedly.
