K9Kastle pulled Vader from the NYCACC about a year ago. He was ataxic and had had a seizure while in the shelter. K9Kastle loves the wobbly kitties! He hasn't had a seizure while with with us, but he's still a little wonky. While not officially diagnosed, we are reasonably certain he has something called hyperesthesia, which is related to seizures....you've probably met a kitty with it but just thought he was a bit of nut (that describes Vader, certainly!) He will hop up dart out of the room (with his little bunny hop) and then stop and try to bite his back.
Minnie
Minnie is fragile 8-year-old domestic short-hair cat in New York City who needs $1,235 for dental treatment to clean and extract her rotten teeth.

Minnie is a semi feral, moderate to severely impaired cat. She was found in a hoarding situation 4 years ago and at that time was taken into K9Kastle. She is one of our "sanctuary" kitties. Meaning she really isn't going to be adopted given her lack of socialization and her level of disability. As such she lives happily in her forever foster home with her little colony of likewise minded and able kitties. She's a funny little cat with a personality all her own. She deserves a happy life regardless of her willingness to allow humans to be a part of it.
Maxie
Maxie is domestic short-hair kitten in New York, NY, who needs $664 for eye surgery.

Max came to the NYC Animal Care Center, a scared little 6 week old kitten with a very bad eye infection. SO bad that the eye was mostly gone already. K9Kastle took her from the ACC to make certain she got the medical attention she needed. She has gotten stronger and healthier and is now ready to have her surgery. Max is a sweet needy little baby who loves to purr and cuddle. Her eye socket weeps and gets dirt in it. She will be much happier with it sewn shut. She will be able to romp and play with her kitten friends without irritation or pain.
Charlie
Charlie is 7-year-old orange/tiger-striped cat in Manhattan, at the K9Kastle shelter, who needs $1,200 for blood work and serious dental treatment.

Charlie is a 7 year old neutered male orange tiger cat. He has been in foster care for several years with K9Kastle. He is an absolute love, but he needs to be the only cat in a house or with a cat who is submissive. Otherwise, he is super friendly, affectionate and just a straight up mush to his human companions. He will follow you all around the house and come when called. He likes belly rubs, joining you on the couch to watch TV, keeping you warm at night, kitty treats and chasing his tail. He's a low maintenance kinda guy who happily eats prescription pee pee food and gets a touch of Miralax in his wet food. He is a huge fan of staring out the window and makes the cutest little chirping noises while watching the birds. (He think's he is a tiger cub, after all) He has the potential of a FOREVER home, but he needs a dental prior. (You know, have to fix up that stinky breath!) Charlie won't just be the king of the house, but the king of cuddles too!!!
Calli
Calli is 6-year-old, sweet rescue cat in New York who needs $680 for surgery and second chance.

Calli was left behind in an abandoned apartment when her previous guardians were evicted. She was brought to the ACC where the vet found that she had a small mammary tumor. As 95% of mammary tumors in cats are cancerous, it is necessary to remove all mammary tissue to prevent the spread of the cancer. This is a VERY invasive and VERY expensive procedure. It will require two surgeries and incisions that run the full length of her little body. Calli is a super sweet little cat who is very very personable and loving. She deserves a family who will care for her for the remainder of her HEALTHY life which we hope to provide for her. She is outgoing and loves to be with people. It is our wish that she can be for a long long time. She will make a loving family very happy.
Blake
Blake is 9-year-old cat in Brooklyn, NY, who needs $1,248 for exploratory dental work and likely serious extractions--perhaps of all his teeth.

Blake is a 9 year old, very sweet kitty. He is living with K9Kastle in sanctuary as he is a) severely disabled with cerebellar hypoplasia b) not very social with people and c) sometimes "thinks outside the box" Blake is very happy with his mini-colony of what we term "anti-social wobblies" and loves to cuddle with his "sisters" Champ and Mina. Blake is a very good "big brother" to kittens who pass through the foster home he lives in, the kittens love to snuggle with him and he will groom them. Blake can walk, does usually hit the litterbox or wee wee pad, but sometimes shoots off the side. Blake is loved and is very happy little guy.
