Help Holly through emergency orthopedic surgery.

Lemoyne, PA • Loving Care Cat Rescue

Holly was found alone on the streets of York, PA. Right away people knew she was friendly, trusting, and followed everyone she met. A kind person, also named Holly, couldn’t leave her behind and brought her home, becoming her foster. Loving Care Cat Rescue agreed to take Holly, and during her first weeks she showed just how playful, affectionate, and full of joy she is! One day, the foster heard a loud bang and discovered Holly injured and bleeding from her back leg. She rushed Holly to the emergency vet, where it was found that Holly had a deep, complex laceration with tendon damage. The clinic couldn’t perform the surgery she needed and referred her to an orthopedic specialist. Holly was immediately transported to the University of Pennsylvania, where a team of orthopedic surgeons evaluated her. They told us that surgery could restore good function to her leg. At just one year old, Holly deserved that chance, and we made the decision to move forward with surgery, despite how expensive it was. Even with a discount, the emergency care and surgery totaled over $9,000, a huge burden for our small rescue. We are committed to giving Holly a full, pain-free life, but we need help. Any donation makes a difference and helps us continue saving cats like Holly. 7/21/26 Update Thank you for supporting Holly in her healing journey! We are grateful she is doing very well. She's playing and enjoying life, and the person who found her is in the process of adopting her.
