Venus

Venus is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix in Front Royal , VA, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

Venus was found wandering the streets of NC and ended up in the shelter where she was facing euthanasia due to space. We scooped her up with the help of an ACO in NC. Now Venus is in a loving foster home where she can get all the love and medical attention that she needs. She went to the vet just today where we learned she is heart worm positive. On top of that she is missing an eye and has wounds all over her body that tells a story of dog-on-dog violence... Venus is an absolute sweetheart. When she was at the vet, we learned she has ZERO aggression, towards anyone or anything. She is just the sweetest girl! Venus was found with wounds all over her body. She is missing an eye. On top of all of that she is also heart worm positive and also positive for hook worms. She's currently in NC and was seen at Warsaw Animal Hospital by Dr. Hunter. When she arrives in VA she will go to Linden Heights and see Dr. Ward Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue takes in the hard ones, the hefty medicals and behavioral. This is our passion. But with funding being way down, we're drowning, and we need help now more than ever

George

George is a 5-year-old Mix in Front Royal , VA, who needs $2,000 for Multiple Injuries from Being Hit by a Vehicle, Gunshot Wounds, Heartworm Treatment, Specialist Appointments, etc.

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

For starters, it is suspected that he was hit by a car—given the significant damage to his hips and hind legs. But what is even more mind-boggling to us is that, sometime BEFORE this happened, George was shot, point-blank at close range, MULTIPLE times in the head and right leg—with his bullet wounds indicating this happened months, possibly even a year, ago. Despite all that he has been forced to endure at the hands of humans, George STILL remains one of the sweetest boys. He loves everyone and everything, and everyone adores this huge teddy bear right back!– He is an absolute snuggle-bug, who adores his foster family and loves nothing more than being spoiled (*us too, buddy, us too…). George is the absolute sweetest boy! He's never met a stranger! His tail never stops wagging and he just loves to cuddle! He met a girlfriend in his new foster home, who he just adores! Then, when his emergency medical needs are tackled, George will also need to have a full veterinary workup, neutering surgery, and have his injured eye examined (and possibly removed). He may need to have a hip replacement down the road, depending on how his appointment with the Orthopedic Specialist goes. George is also heart worm positive and will need treatment for that This boy's ongoing medical costs have already run our Rescue well over $2,750, not including George's upcoming specialty exams, follow-up X-rays, surgeries, etc. The total cost of all of George's medical care is going to be extensive and we need any support we can get

Gem

Gem is a 10-year-old Mix in Front Royal, VA, who needs $2,000 for Exam and Treatment of Periodontal Disease, Mass Removals, Increased Bronchovascular Sounds, and Possible Enlargement of the Heart.

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

-Gem- 10 years, altered female, 80lbs, 10-year-old. Gem is looking for a miracle, and fast. This poor, senior girl was brought to BARCS by Animal Control after her beloved owner passed. She's understandably quite confused in the shelter environment Although she's definitely not feeling her best, despite her current situation, Gem has been very sweet and tolerant with us so far. She absolutely loves food (no surprise there), and accepts gentle pets. Gem is now in an MSGBR fospice home. he is extremely overweight, which makes it hard for her to get around. She also has grade 3-4/4 periodontal disease, small skin growths, a large mass under the right axilla, overgrown nails, and increased bronchovascular sounds. Chest rads also showed possible enlargement of the heart and a heartworm test was negative. She is so uncomfortable. Her overall health is poor but we have seen others come in nd hang out with us, holding on to the good life. Gem is reactive if you touch one of her soft spots. She is very sensitive on her back knee We takes in the heavy medical/difficult cases. This is where our heart is. This results in extremely high vet bills that we are constantly struggling to get down so that we can take in more dogs. We is currently sitting on over $12,000 in outstanding vet bills

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

Ms Piggy came to Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue from Glynn County Animal Services in Brunswick GA. She was fostered for a few days in Georgia before making her way to her foster in Virginia on October 17th. We're still learning about her but she has just been a gem. We have alot of medical to get her through including around 30 lbs. Despite all of her difficulties, Ms Piggy literally wins over every single person she meets! Also, she made a bunch of puppy friends too! Ms Piggy has never met a soul that she doesn't love and that doesn't love her! What a heart stealer this precious girl is! Ms. Piggy became VERY concerned the other night when her foster mama took a bath...she was peeking around the corner to check on her! Ms. Piggy is super sweet and does well with other dogs. Sweet potato, sweet potato. You Ms. Pigs are all things precious. She even enjoys the occasional ball game with her foster family. Can you please help us care for Ms. Piggy? She deserves to live a long healthy life filled with love. All donations to Ms. Piggy are tax-deductible and will go directly to her transformation. Thank you! We rescued Ms Piggy from Glynn County Animal Servies in GA with heartworms, fleas-resulting in some skin issues, and she has some permanent damage to her left eye. This girl weighed in at a whopping 103 pounds…. she has about 30+ to lose. She has not been spayed. She has not been properly cared for and is suffering from obesity and has parasites infesting her heart. Rescue has been INSANE! Everyday we have dogs going to the vet, yes EVERYDAY! There are so many puppies, SO MANY PUPPIES! We currently have 8 heartworm positive dogs in MSGBR, Piggy is one of them. Heartworm treatment is very hard on the dogs and runs us about $1200 per dog.

Stormy

Stormy is a 2-year-old Pitbull mix in Front Royal , VA, who needs $2,000 for urgent surgery.

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

Poor Stormy has, well, how do we say this eloquently? A bit of a broken bum. The sweet girl came to Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue with a prolapsed rectum. She's had three surgeries to fix it, but her rectal tissue still protrudes through her rear end -- which makes it challenging to poop. Now the rescue is exploring more options for Stormy while they keep her on an expensive prescription diet. They're trying to fundraise to pay for Stormy's surgeries, and they hope you can help. "Stormy wants all the belly rubs," Jessica C., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "We have had a lot of unexpected medical bills with Stormy. She is also heartworm positive and will receive treatment for that." Stormy is a real gem of a dog, and once she's fixed up, she will finally be able to find her forever home. Please help the rescue fix Stormy's broken pooper!

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

Senior Mama Bella just delivered puppies while suffering from a mammary mass, severe mange, and flea dermatitis. Her family did not have the funding for vet care and as a rescue, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to help her heal and live out her golden years pain-free. After we have Bella fully vetted she will be returned to her family Mama Bella is a beautiful 11-year-old mom to puppy Bob, and his younger siblings, Coffee, Dixie, and Adonis-we took in all of theses dogs as well, vetted them and found them homes. Bella matters so much to us. This beautiful gal gave us precious lives to go on and make families happy, now we need to do the same for her. Bella is such a perfect perfect gal. Her temp foster mom loves her, we in rescue love her. She is in a temp foster home until she recovers and has all proper vetting done. Then she will return to her family. she loves laying on her bed and sun bathing. She is just the sweetest girl. She will get to enjoy the rest of her days not having to be a mommy ever again. The doctor did say the one thing she could see in Bella is that she was very loved. She just needed vet care the family could not afford. She has gone in for a 4dx, bloodwork, skin scrape, and all vaccines given. She has been spayed and had mammary masses removed and biopsied. Paws crossed for good news. Bella has been seen at our rescue vet Linden Heights Animal Hospital. We have spent well over $2000 on Mama Bella. Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue currently has an outstanding vet balance well over $16,000. MSGBR takes in the tough cases, the high medicals. We can't continue to do what we do without help.

Mama Reese

Mama Reese is a 3-year-old Pitbull mix in Front Royal, VA, who needs $2,000 for heartworm treatment and spay.

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

We got a call from one of our partners in North Carolina who reached out to us in a plea to help after she and her puppies were seized by animal control. Mama was imprisoned on a chain and delivered her babies in the dirt. 5 out of her 10 puppies died. Reese is also heart worm positive. We will need to treat her heart worms and then get her spayed. Reese loves everyone she meets, great with kids, tail is always wagging. Have not dog tested her yet as she is still nursing, but she is good with pigs, turkeys, ducks and cows so far. Reese loves car rides, side by side rides, loves going for walks. she is small around 40 lbs. She seems to be all but house trained even though she lived outside. Reese is a foodie! This girl is very treat and food motivated! Reese loves to be with her humans and loves getting all the kisses and snuggles you will give her. She is the sweetest girl and the very best mama. Reese sleeps with her puppies. She also has a separate area she can escape to if she'd like. Mama Reese is heart worm positive and will go through treatment for that once she is done nursing. After heart worm treatment Reese will then be spayed. She has been seen and will have more treatment at our rescue vet Linden Heights Animal Hospital We are looking at a very hefty vet bill for Mama Reese. Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue currently has well over $16,000 in outstanding vet bills. We take in the difficult cases, the medical cases. We want every dog to have a healthy and happy life.

Rusty

Rusty is a one-year-old Shepherd-Pitbull mix in Front Royal, VA, who needs $2,000 for essential medical care.

Front Royal, VA • Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue

Rusty sat in a county animal shelter for a month and grew despondent, shut down, and so fear-filled he was frozen in terror. He was just hours away from being euthanized, but Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue saved him in the nick of time! Rusty is now in a foster home and coming out of his shell. They even caught a couple of tail wags! Whatever horrible things happened in Rusty's past, the rescue is determined to give him a new beginning. But they need your help! Rusty needs medical care for severe kennel cough and all his vetting: vaccines, microchip, and they have to ensure he gets neutered! "We are trying to show him that he is safe and loved. I can tell he really does want to play. He will get there with time and love. We will give him all the time he needs," Jessica C. with the rescue tells Waggle. Please give to assist Rusty and help the nonprofit group fix him up -- both physically and mentally so Rusty can have the best future ever!
