Help Cheddar Take Her Next Step Toward a Pain-Free Life 🧀💛

Mt Juliet, TN • Mt Juliet Animal Care & Control

Meet Cheddar, a 1-year-old Whippet mix who may be tiny in size—but her heart is massive! She and her sister, Cheese, were found running the streets together, two sweet souls searching for safety and kindness. Cheddar’s personality lights up every room—she’s joyful, affectionate, and always wearing her signature smile. But recently, that smile has been hiding some pain. When her caretakers at Mt. Juliet Animal Care and Clinic noticed she was limping, X-rays revealed an old, improperly healed femur fracture that causes her constant discomfort. The only way for Cheddar to live the happy, pain-free life she deserves is through amputation surgery—and we need your help to make it happen. The best part? 💕 Cheddar already has a loving family waiting to adopt her after her recovery. With your support, she can finally leave her pain behind and start her new life surrounded by love. Please consider donating to help Cheddar get the care she needs. Every dollar brings her one step closer to her forever home. 🐾

Harvey Wallbanger hasn’t had it easy. This poor cat was thrown into a yard while inside a crate. Cruel humans tossed him aside like garbage, without any care for his life. Thankfully the kind people that found him were willing to help. Noticing he wasn’t putting weight on his rear leg, they called Mt. Juliet Animal Control for assistance. X-rays showed an old injury to his left hind leg that had healed poorly. Harvey is in constant pain and has a hard time moving. Harvey can’t move without searing agony in his leg. He is on pain medication but, the leg will have to be amputated as soon as possible. Avenue Animal Hospital has Harvey on pain management till his surgery can be scheduled. This sweet fella was all purrs and just wanted pets, but it was clear he was in pain. Since coming to the Shelter, he has wanted nothing more than head pats and chin scratches. As soon as someone opens his door he starts talking and purring, begging for the love he’s been denied. We are a government entity and have a small budget. We way heavily on donations to help offset the cost of major surgeries. Harvey is such a deserving kitty and deserves his happily ever after.
