Goose
With Only 6 Months to Live, Goose Needs You Now!
Henderson, KY • New Hope Animal Rescue Center
Goose is a beautiful pup who never had the chance to grow up like a typical dog. When his former owner learned he had serious medical issues, she had to surrender him to New Hope Animal Rescue Center. From day one, Goose’s journey has been a rollercoaster of vet visits and difficult news. His original vet quickly recognized the severity of his condition and referred him to Metropolitan Veterinary Center in Louisville, KY. There, specialists found masses on Goose’s liver and diagnosed him with a liver shunt—a condition that disrupts normal blood flow and severely affects his health. He was then referred to Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine for specialized care. Thanks to the generosity of their supporters, they were able to raise enough to get him through his first surgery. But now, Goose needs a second, life-saving surgery—his only chance to live a normal, healthy life—but it's going to cost between $8-$10,000. What's worse, is that without this surgery, Goose has less than six months to live. Goose is more than just a medical case—he’s a fighter, a sweet soul, and a reminder of why we do what we do. Please help us give Goose the life he deserves. Every dollar, no matter how small, will help Goose get the life-saving surgery he needs! Please don't wait!
