Carl
Carl Was Hit by a Car—Help Cover His Lifesaving Care
Boynton Beach, FL • Ru4me Pet Rescue, Inc.
At just five months old, sweet Carl was hit by a car and left with devastating injuries that required immediate, lifesaving veterinary care. As a young kitten, he should have been spending his days chasing toys and discovering the world, not fighting to survive. When we took Carl in at RU4ME Pet Rescue, we knew he was in serious trouble. When we took Carl in, we knew he was in serious trouble. His mouth had been degloved, meaning the tissue of his lower lip had been pulled away from the underlying tissue, leaving it badly injured. He also had broken teeth that needed to be removed, and his leg was so severely damaged that it had to be amputated. Carl underwent emergency surgery to give him the chance to survive and begin healing. His lower lip required sutures to reattach it, his damaged teeth were removed, and his injured leg was amputated. These were not optional procedures—they were the care Carl needed after being struck by a vehicle. Through it all, Carl has fought to keep going. At just five months old, he has already endured more pain and trauma than any kitten should ever have to experience. But thanks to the veterinary team who treated him, Carl is alive and has the opportunity to heal. We have already spent $1,241 on Carl’s lifesaving veterinary care, and now we need our community’s help to cover that expense. We hate having to ask for donations, but these are the emergencies that keep us going. When an animal like Carl needs immediate care, we cannot wait until we have the money, we have to say yes and get them the help they need. Your donation will go directly toward covering the lifesaving veterinary care Carl needed after being hit by a car. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue saying yes when an animal has nowhere else to turn. Carl has already survived the worst. Now we want to give this sweet little kitten the chance to heal, grow up, and finally experience the safe and happy life he deserves. Please help us cover Carl’s emergency care and give him the second chance he fought so hard to have. ❤️

Daisy
Daisy: After a Year of Waiting, She Finally Has Help.
Boynton Beach, FL • Ru4me Pet Rescue, Inc.
At 14 years old, Daisy should have been spending her days comfortable, safe, and spoiled. Instead, this sweet Persian arrived at RU4ME Pet Rescue in desperate need of help after severe matting led to painful injuries that required emergency veterinary care. For nearly a year, Daisy’s owner had been reaching out to different rescues for help with her grooming needs, but no one was able to take her in. When we received the call and saw photos of Daisy’s condition, we knew we couldn’t turn her away. When we picked Daisy up, she had been wrapped in packaging tape that was holding several of her wounds together. Her owner had attempted to cut away her severely matted fur and accidentally caused multiple lacerations. We immediately brought Daisy to VEG Emergency Vet, where the veterinary team began the painstaking process of removing the tape and treating the injuries underneath. It took more than three hours of emergency veterinary care to safely remove the packaging tape, medically groom Daisy, and treat her wounds. Once the tape and matted fur were removed, the extent of her injuries became clear. Daisy required 14 stitches and surgical glue to close her lacerations. She also had an ingrown dewclaw that needed to be clipped and bilateral ear infections that required medication. After her intensive emergency treatment, Daisy was finally able to leave the hospital and begin recovering in her foster home. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at VEG who worked tirelessly to give this senior girl the care she needed. We have already paid $1,116.66 for Daisy’s emergency veterinary care, including her medical grooming, wound repair, antibiotics, and ear medications. But her recovery is not over. She still needs suture removal, senior bloodwork, vaccinations, and continued veterinary care. After spending so long waiting for someone to help her, Daisy finally has people in her corner. She is safe, she is being cared for, and she can begin healing—but RU4ME Pet Rescue needs help covering the cost of her emergency care and the medical care she still needs. Your donation will help cover Daisy’s emergency veterinary bill and her upcoming medical expenses. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue saying yes to animals who have nowhere else to turn. Daisy has already endured far more than any senior cat should. Now she deserves the chance to heal, be comfortable, and spend the rest of her life knowing she is safe and loved. Please help us give this beautiful senior Persian the care and second chance she deserves. ❤️
