While others began to heal, “No-Tail Boy” remained in quarantine, battling one illness after another. First coccidia, then salmonella, both a grueling fight. Now, just as he deserves a fresh start, he faces his biggest challenge yet: a fractured elbow that requires urgent surgery. Without it, he cannot properly heal. The procedure, including placing a stabilizing pin, is expected to cost up to $6,000. For any rescue this is an overwhelming expense, but one that could change everything for him. After everything he has endured, from battling coccidia and salmonella to suffering an unexpected elbow fracture, this resilient fox is finally making encouraging progress. He is doing well with physical therapy and continues working toward regaining strength and comfort in his leg. While Benny is healing, he still requires ongoing rehabilitation, monitoring, and supportive care before he will be ready for his forever home. His medical journey has been extensive, and the cost of his care has now exceeded $12,000. Between treatment for multiple illnesses, surgery, and continued recovery support, Benny's needs have far surpassed what anyone anticipated.
