Callie was abandoned at our shelter by a rescue group. She was abused, by the person that bought her here, in front of Nancy, a volunteer. It took us nearly 2 months to get her to come out from behind the dressers. I would go in the quarantine room and sleep for a few hours to gain her trust. Eventually she started to trust me. She was so stressed that her gums became enflamed and bled. I started using holistic medicine to help her and it worked great. However, she may have to have her teeth removed. We are different then any other rescue. We do not charge for adoptions but it is hard to adopt from us because of our guidelines. When we do a colony TNR, we do not just do TNR. We do TNR-M which means we maintain that colony forever. Callie purrs and chirps and is a little lady with not a single mean bone in her body. She is an angel.
