When The Haley Graves Foundation rescued Stella from a neighboring county shelter, it was clear she had endured years of neglect. Found as a stray, her fur was so severely matted against her body that she had to be sedated just to be shaved. As rescuers carefully removed the painful mats, they discovered foreign objects tangled deep within her coat, a heartbreaking reminder of how long she had gone without care. The rescue believes Stella was likely discarded by a breeder after she was no longer useful. Because she appears to have had multiple litters, her body has been through a great deal, and her veterinary team is taking extra precautions to ensure her upcoming spay surgery is as safe as possible. Stella is finally getting the medical attention she has been denied for far too long. In foster care, this sweet girl is slowly learning that people can be kind. Though she's a little shy, she is surrounded by the patience, love, and security she needs to begin blossoming. Stella has already overcome so much, but she still needs your help.
