Hoyt
Hoyt is a 6 year old Weimaraner in Dearborn, MI, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy.
Dearborn, MI
Hoyt is a 6 year old rescue and service dog for my brother-in-law. He has been with us since he was one. He is a rescue out of a home in Owasso, MI, where he was abandoned in his home and locked in a room and the family moved. He was rescued by Veteran Service Dogs organization in Howell, MI. He is a support dog for my brother-in-law who is a Veteran and current Police Officer. On April 14th, Hoyt seemed like he wasn't himself. He didn't want to go upstairs or into bed. By Wednesday April 16th, I woke to Hoyt unable to move his back legs. I rushed him to our vet who then sent us to BluePearl Pet Neurology in Farmington, MI. He was diagnosed with a ruptured disc at L3-L4 and a hemorrhage above that at T11-13. Surgery was done today to repair his spine. We pray!!!! While Hoyt is a Veteran Support Dog for my brother-in-law, Travis, he is a special dog for all of us. He is loved dearly. His newest role is as a big brother to his girl Rosie. She is a rescue pup we adopted from Rebel Dogs Detroit and Hoyt just adores her. We cannot imagine our life without Hoyt. The odds may have been against Hoyt, but he is the strongest dog I have ever met. Our family experienced a house fire in 2021 and due to the complications with our insurance agency, the company sent by the insurance agency and our fraud contractor our family has never quite recovered. We still continue to push on and love as much as we can.

Blaze
Blaze is a 10-year-old Boxer in Garden City, MI, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.
Garden city, MI
We got Blaze 10 years ago, he has 2 human sisters who are 11 and 14, a Boston terrier sister, Boston Terrier brother and a cat sister who he loves so much! He was named after the fire fly in Tinker Bell. He is the absolute best boy in the whole world. We live in Garden City Michigan, he spends most of his time snuggling his humans and fur siblings. Blaze loves to snuggle, play tug of war, and in the summer loves to play in the sprinkler. He loves treats, playing fetch and also talking back when he doesn’t get his way. His favorite spot to sleep is on whatever couch his humans are on, when we aren’t home he waits by the door until we return. He loves to be where ever his humans are. Blaze loves the snow, catching snow balls. Just like most boxers he is constantly talking, requesting to go inside and out and always under your feet. He refuses to lay on the ground he must have a chair to sit in or a bed to lay on. If he wants a treat he won’t stop until it’s given. Car rides are also a favorite Blaze was normal Blaze until last Saturday March 11th, 2023. He looked sad, lethargic and would not eat. We took him to the vet as he was neutered 3 weeks ago for testicle mass, and we thought possible infection. During his visit he got an X-ray of his abdomen, we got the unsettling news they found a medium sized mass in his spleen. We are usually prepared for emergencies but my husband has been off work since January 18th for shoulder surgery, without disability we are down to 1 income, we have spent over $2000 on medications and testing so far and he will need further treatment and surgery
