Athena was born to our black lab Dixie who was a member of the family for 12 years. My son immediately picked her and they’ve been together almost 4 years now. They’re inseparable and do everything together. She waits by the door everyday for him to get home from work, and she even has to sleep in the same bed as him. Athena loves anyone she encounters. And everyone who meets her falls in love with her and always wants to take her home. She loves all children and always try to play with them. Shes full of energy and will play until she exhausts herself and you have to make her stop. Playing fetch is her all time favorite thing to do and going to the dog park. She also loves car rides, and going for walks She’s full of energy and never stops playing. She loves playing fetch with just about anything she can get ahold of mostly sticks and of course her ball. She loves to play with whoever is willing to entertain her. Her sister Derby and her play all the time as well since they live together. Athena was taken in to have her left front foot looked at and we found out that it broken. Every toe has a break in it and she has floating bones as well so we weren’t able to cast it she needs a specialist. The clinic treating her has been nothing but wonderful and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone We are currently in the process of having to move due to my medical issue and being laid off of work. My son and Athena reside with me so one income is hard to handle everyday expenses. This was unexpected and would love to fix her broken foot before we have to amputate

We had a dog show up at our doorstep. (March 10th) He was tired, hungry, and just plain wiped out. We had brought him inside to cool off and get drink and a bite to eat. Shortly after, we went door to door looking for his owner. We looked on and off for 2 weeks straight. He had no chip, and nobody had put out an ad for him. During this time, we had started falling in love with him, and we decided we'd be his family. Durning this time, we'd noticed he wasn't acting like a normal pup. I'd taken him to the vet, and had found out he has heartworm. I was able to come up with enough money for his first round of treatment, however the rest was just more than I could take on
