My dog Lilly Ann is my first pet I've ever owned. She's been in my life since college and truly has been been my ride or die in life in ever sense of the word. We have so many special moments it's hard to just think of one. It's hard to imagine a time in my adult life without her. But I'll tell you about the time when I first met Lilly Ann and before I took her home. One of my friend from college knew somebody who had a litter of puppies and was practically giving them away cause she had another litter of puppies from another dog on the way. So one Saturday we drove to Georgia from Tallahassee, FL and there I met the owner and she had a laundry basket of pups, all different colors and sizes. She let them out of basket on the grass and they were all chasing each other and I noticed they all had pointy ears except for one (Lilly) and I asked the owner why. She stated that dog was from a different litter of puppies where the mom actually passed away after giving birth. I immediately felt so connected because when I was younger my mommy passed away and I felt in that very moment such a strong sense of emotion and I wanted to be Lilly's mommy so I took her home and we've adventured on planes, trains and cars for the last 7 years together.
