Riley was originally my ex-girlfriends dog. She brought her home when she was just a little puppy that fit in my hands. After having to assume the role of being Riley's caretaker/provider, we became best friends. She loves playing with her ball more than anything. She wears out humans with the game of fetch. She's a constant source of happiness and love, and I don't know what I'd do without her. For the last 6 years, Riley has had a much larger world than her first 5. We went from a 1 bdrm Apt to a house with a yard and doggy door. We also have had 1-3 roommates with varying work schedules so she has had close to constant companionship. I couldn't ask for a better behaved dog. She only wants to love and play. She never destroys anything and is not the least bit aggressive. Ball is life. While I do work a full time job, I work a minimum wage job. I was able to work a second job to supplement my income as a waiter, but the pandemic has left my unable to do so. My partner was also laid off because of covid. She get unemployment but it is only 220 per week. Riley has a growth on her gums that is getting very large and causing her pain and even preventing her from picking up her ball. She also is suffering from dental disease and has to have a several teeth pulled. We brought her to All Creatures Animal Clinic, where they gave us this diagnosis. All Creatures made me feel at ease and comfortable. I hope that we can get Riley back to her old self soon. She loves the game of fetch more than ANYTHING. When we lived in an apartment, we were the victim of a breaking and entering. They stole a bunch of our things and left the front door wide open. When I got home from work, my heart sunk. My only thought was, Riley. As I walked up, there she was sitting at the threshold, waiting with a big smile. My old roomie has 2 dogs after never wanting pets.

We adopted Tiki as a kitten from the local animal shelter in when I was 13 in 2007. He had kennel cough, so he was a little lethargic, but once that was better he was a little ball of energy. We originally named him Catbert but it didn't fit his personality. One day my mom sang the Disney Tiki room song to him and the name Tiki seemed to fit. He loves to lay on cold, hard, surfaces. Wood/tile floors, boxes, bathtubs, glass tables, etc. He's the household sweetheart and cuddles with the other cats, especially our Siamese, Purrdue, who was a kitten when we brought him home and bonded with Tiki. Our other cats hate our newest cat, but not Tiki, he's the Void's only friend. This was a very sudden cost and we don't have any savings left. I cashed in my 401k to pay for testing, and the air conditioning has gone out in my car (which is a necessity in Phoenix Az). Between all of this, we're needing thousands of dollars but Tiki is the priority. Tiki started losing weight earlier this year, and developed a lump on his leg. We took him in to Alta Vista vet hospital in Phoenix and he had a lower respiratory infection, along with a cancerous tumor on his leg. At first the vet thought it might be lymphoma, but after sending a slide to the lab, it was confirmed to be a round cell tumor the needs to be removed surgically. Tiki is very smart. He'll always be able to find a way to communicate what he wants to us. Little things like grabbing my hand with his paw when he wants to be pet, or laying on my clothes when I'm getting ready to leave. He doesn't like it when I leave the house, and used to leave stuffed animals on my bed when I would leave for school.

I got my baby a bit over 5 years ago as a rescue, so not sure how old she is. She was the first kitty I had when I moved out on my own( no roommate). She's been with me through a few moves and has always been there for me when I was feeling down. She's always there to check on me, and always greets me when I get home. If I'm gone too long or if she smells another animal on me she will demand I give her attention and pets to make up for my indiscretion.
