Mister

Mister is a 7 year old American Shorthair in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Maxillo-Mandibular Fixation and Feeding Tube.

Colorado Springs, CO

We adopted Mister 6.5 years ago in January of 2018. He currently lives at home with his humans (mom and dad) and his two furry canine siblings Mo and Baylee. Mister had an unfortunate accident at home while we were sleeping, fracturing his lower jaw. He's already undergone one surgery and originally needed a 2nd in 6-8 weeks. Animal Dental Care & Oral Surgery in CO did a labial button technique to wire his jaw. April 4, we found out that his jaw was displaced. He needs another surgery on April 5 to do maxillo-mandibular bonding before his 3rd surgery. Mister is confused about his species, he is convinced he is a dog and is the sweetest cat-dog ever. He is his momma's shadow and is attached at the hip. He enjoys sleeping under the covers and watching the neighborhood from his cat tree. Mister's stomach runs on a clock, snack time is at 4 pm and dinner at 4:30 pm and he keeps his momma promptly on schedule. Recently down to a single income, and this was an unexpected expense with multiple massive vet bills with more recent additions adding thousands onto an already devastating amount. Given the option of surrendering Mister or paying we paid, surrendering was not an option.

Cherie

Cherie is a 9-year-old Domestic ahorthair in Colorado springs, CO, who needs $800 for oral surgery, for dental extraction.

Colorado springs, CO

My kitty Cherie stumbled into my life as a tiny 2-week old kitten whose mother and siblings were killed by a man who owned the house she was born under. A good Samaritan brought her and her brother into my work and I took both of them in and bottle raised them with the help of my sweet good-natured doggy. She has since been an integral part of our family unit. Cherie is loved by each household member in unique ways. I often find her snuggled up to her big 65lbs dog and cleaning his ears which oddly enough he doesn't mind. My 5-year-old daughter has gone through a lot of changes over the last couple of months being out of school due to the virus. Cherie has become my daughter's best friend during this time. Cherie is always looking for snuggles from me. Due to Covid19 I have lost my job and have been without income for 6 weeks. I have tried unsuccessfully to save for her surgery over 2yrs. I was able to save half of the cost but without a job, I'm unable to save more and now she is in dire need. My cat was diagnosed with dental resorption 2 years ago by, Animal Dental Care and Oral Surgery. We tried to keep the infection at bay with the help of her regular vet. These infections are coming more frequently and she is in need of a very expensive surgery to offer her quality and quantity of life. Cherie is like another child to me as I've had her since she was 2 weeks old. Bottle feeding her was so much fun and her ears would move up and down with each swallow. Since then she has become a feisty, snuggly family member with the most melodic purr. She has always been gentle with my daughter and often seeks out snuggles from her when I'm not around. My daughter adores her.
