Dillon

Dillon is a 15-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Corvallis, OR, who needs $1,000 for Oral Surgery with Anesthesia due to Complex Medical Requirements.

Corvallis, OR

Dillon & I met in December 2007, when he was nearly 12 weeks old. He nearly busted through the breeder's front door trying to get to me & pushed his sisters away from me for the entire visit. One puppy kiss & I was immediately in love, too. He lives with me and 3 elderly cats (17, 16 & 16 yrs old) in Corvallis, OR, 90 miles south of Portland. For much of his life, Dillon was a farm dog. He directed the horses, helped me with the goat milking, rounded up the ducks & chickens at the end of the day, & oversaw all yardwork. He loved being in the local 4th of July parade each year. Dillon & his 3 cats moved to town with me in 2018. At nearly 16 yrs old, he moves slower but still supervises my every move. He's stil my happy Corgi prince. Dillon has the famous Corgi smile, which he shares with everyone he meets. He is very close to the cats & often shares his bed with one or all of them. Dilly is convinced that the COVID-19 pandemic was my way of ensuring he could supervise me 24/7, get belly rubs on demand & protect me from the delivery drivers who routinely knock on the door. Dillon has a bad tooth that caused infection in a gland that sits just below the eye. He's old & has a very complex medical history (collapsing trachea, history of septic infection) so needs oral surgery with anesthesia (not regular sedation). A Dental Clinic located about 80 mi away from our home is one of the only places in the state able to help him. In the past 3 yrs, Dillon needed specialty ICU care & CT scans from the OSU Vet School clinic 3 times, costing abt $12K. I've had 5 surgeries in that same time so have high medical bills too. My credit cards are maxed, I can't borrow any more $ and now need to ask for help.

Bella

Bella is a 3-year-old Gray Tabby in Hillsboro, OR, who needs $2,000 for Full Mouth Extraction.

Hillsboro, OR

Bella was our first rescue adoption. She was discarded at birth and found in a dumpster. She was fostered and bottle fed so she is very used to being held and cuddled. We had planned to adopt a different cat, but when we arrived he had already been claimed and this little playful love bug caught our eye. When we heard of how she was mistreated we knew that she was the perfect cat for our home. Bella runs the roost. She acts as the momma cat to our other rescues Apple and Bridger. She follows our daughter around like a shadow and can be found sleeping in her bed every morning. She loves all kinds of treats and watching Movies for Cats on Amazon. She loves to play fight with dad and enjoys sitting on the lap of every visitor that enters our home. She enjoys being cradled like a baby. Bella spends all day watching “Cat TV” - aka- looking out the window while the leaves fall to the ground and the birds and squirrels play outside. She is the kindest, sweetest animal I have encountered and she loves on everyone she meets. She enjoys napping in the sun, cuddling with Bridger, and chasing laser pointers around for hours on end. She rolls over for belly rubs when ever I am near. At her 3 year check up we were informed that Bella is suffering from an advanced oral mucosa/dental health issue. She was immediately referred to a cat dentist. Initially she was diagnosed with Stomatitis, but after visiting the oral specialist it was determined that she is dealing with a more severe type of oral infection and unfortunately she will need a full mouth extraction. After a costly divorce/custody battle, refinancing our home to purchase a car, saving for our daughters college, fixing our other cats teeth ($1000) and possibly having to replace our water heater and roof soon, we simply cannot cover a $6000-10000 up front vet bill.

Bridger

Bridger is a 3-year-old Lynx Point in Hillsboro, OR, who needs $2,000 for Full Mouth Extraction.

Hillsboro, OR

Bubba Blue Eyes aka Bridger - is named after Bridger Bowl Montana. He was our third rescue adoption and our first boy kitten. Having a wife, teenage daughter, and 2 other female cats, I requested that we adopt a boy to even out the boy/girl ratio a bit in our home. He has been a part of our family for 3 years now. He has two older sisters (Apple and Bella). Bridger sleeps in our bed - laying in between me and my wife - after 10 minutes of belly rubs he moves to the bottom of the bed - standing guard over us from the scary noises the house makes at night. He loves being close to us and he trills, gives head bumps, curls up on our laps, uses his paws to reach out and touch us or furniture, and in rare cases he mews - a very timid mew for being 16 lbs. Bridger must have been a dog in a previous life as he comes on command, heels, and even plays fetch with his favorite toys. He loves going for walks in his cat stroller and he is fascinated by the world outside. When I return home from work he greets me with a loving head bump and he even joins the family for dinner as he has his own seat at the dinner table where he gets his favorite treats. At his 3 year check up we were informed that Bridger is suffering from an advanced oral mucosa/dental health issue. He was immediately referred to a cat dentist. Initially he was diagnosed with Stomatitis, but after visiting the oral specialist it was determined that he is dealing with a more severe type of oral infection and unfortunately he will need a full mouth extraction.
