Bellevue, WA
I bought my dog from a breeder when he was eight weeks. Old, had no idea that he was deaf. Once I figured that out, things got a little easier. We do Nosework, and Agility, and he comes everywhere with me as my companion animal, as I live alone for the last couple of months his penis is getting stuck out on a regular basis, causing him pain. We’ve gone to see a couple specialist for this in the mo Liam is my family! It’s just he and I and I’m single and we’ve been together for four years now. He comes with me everywhere except for work and stays with a friend when I’m at work he is my everything. All of my social activities revolve around my dog he is the center of my life. We do so many sports together. He comes with me everywhere and giving him the best possible care is my priority My little dog is excellent at Nosework, which is rare for a sighthound. He knows multiple sign language symbols, has his title in trick dog, barn hunt, and Nosework everything I do aside from work revolves around training him, exercising him and spending time with him. sometimes he throws his squishy ball, and it hits me in the head, which makes me laugh. He’s also the sweetest dog you’ll ever mee The second specialist he saw has recommended surgery. She also found a significant heart murmur that she thinks should definitely be examined with an echocardiogram. Her clinic doesn’t do those so I am in the process of looking for one that I can afford. The one my vet referred me to was $1800. I’m currently working a contract job, but have to pay my state benefits back from the pandemic, and multiple vet bills have maxed out my credit cards and I’m just not making ends meet
Olive
Olive is a 13-year-old Boston in Seattle, WA, who needs $1,900 for Thyroidectemy.
Seattle, WA
13 years ago, Olive rescued me during my recovery from a traumatic event. I really didn’t know what I was getting into when my family gifted me a puppy. I do know that upon meeting her I was overcome with the desire to keep her safe and happy. Our relationship gave me the courage to heal. I want to return to her, the opportunity to persevere in the face of adversity. From the very beginning Olive was a ball dog. She loves to play fetch endlessly. I tried to get her into Frisbee but she was serious about the ball. We’ve explored trails up and down the coast from Southern California to Seattle Washington. We’ve enjoyed camping trips, combing the beaches of Humboldt and row boats on Lake Bon Temp. Olive has a great relationship with other dogs. When our roommate was a dog walker, Olive adapted the responsibility of mothering young dogs. She was particularly close with a Leonberger she raised from the time he was 4 months old. No matter how big he got, he always bowed down to Olive’s small stature and followed her lead. She would scold older dogs for playing too hard with the pups. Olive has recently been diagnosed with hypercalcemia due to an enlarged parathyroid gland. The only treatment is removal of the parathyroid. Without treatment her muscles will shrink, her bones will become thin and painful. If left untreated she will experience gastrointestinal problems, acute renal failure, coma, and death. Hypercalcemia is rarely the diagnosis for the symptoms Olive presents. It’s the type of surgery requires a board-certified surgeon and up to 3 days of hospitalization. Although I've taken on a second job, financially I'm falling short. Olive could use your help. Thank you
