The day that Baker came into our lives, my daughter & I went to the animal shelter to turn in an injured bird we found in our backyard. When I saw sweet little Baker in a cage with a bigger dog that was trying to sit on him I knew he was meant for me. He was 6 months old & found 6 days earlier in a field. So I took him to be my foster dog. I also have two other dogs & a cat. Baker likes to sleep under the covers besides me. He is always sitting with me whether in the living room or sitting at a table. I sit a chair besides me so he can sit in it. Baker loves to go for car rides. He use to like going for walks in the dog stroller but now because of his vision I can’t do that anymore due to him not being able to see because he barks non stop. Baker makes me laugh especially I’m the evening when it is snack time. He knows around 7:30 he & the other dogs get bones. While waiting to get his he jumps really high, we call him little Joey like a kangaroo. Another thing that makes him special is that he has long legs. He reminds me of a dashchund on stilts. Baker just turned 6 years old. When he was 4 years old the vet noticed his eyes being a little cloudy & said he has juvenile cataracts. When he was 5 years old I noticed it was getting worse so I found an animal eye dr to take him too. They said he is a good candidate for cataract surgery since he is so young. Right now he is on two eye drops, twice a day. Animal Eye Clinic, Dr William M. Gwin I thought I would be able to save up for eye surgery but this year we have quite a bit of finances come up on top of me paying my student debt such as a medical surgery bill for me & lab bills for my child.
