Oreo

Oreo is a 1-year-old Tuxedo in Johnstown , CO, who needs $900 for Emergency fluids and internal testing.

Johnstown, CO

My family and I decided to adopt area from our local shelter roughly a month ago. My 3 little girls absolutely adore her! She had a loving and safe home, we just currently can’t afford for her treatment. She has a safe and caring home that provides her everything she needs. Unfortunately the only thing we can’t give her is the financial side for her treatment. Oreo is a loving and snuggle bug to everyone at home! She is a talker and loves to meow and visit anyone who is home. Oreo is one of the most loving pets I’ve ever owned! Everyone morning Oreo as an alarm clock to everyone letting them know it’s time to get up and we all find it absolutely hilarious! I myself just had 2 back to back surgeries and was unable to work for almost 3 months and had to switch career paths in order for me to somewhat work because unemployment isn’t enough to raise a family of 5. My family and I just don’t currently have what it takes financialy. Oreo ended up getting outside earlier this week and hid inside an abandoned truck out front. She didn’t come inside for 3 days and wouldn’t come out to eat food or get water. Luckily after 3 days our neighbor was able to get her out and bring her home l. Unfortunately l, when she got home she wasn’t walking, eating, drinking, or even really moving. Oreo is almost in a vegetable state. Oreo is special to our family because it’s my 3 daughters first let they’ve ever had and they absolutely adore her. The girls take great pride in helping take care of their kitty when they get the chance to help out! The last thing I want to do is to have to explain to them why her kitty isn’t around anymore.

Kona

Kona is a 3-year-old Lab German shepherd mix in Fort collins, CO, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.

Fort collins, CO

Kona lives a great life with a nice fenced in yard where she spends most of her time chasing squirrels and playing with her foster puppy friends. She has grown up with over 50+ foster pups who have all come and gone to find there forever homes all who got to learn a little from her. Kona ran off and chased a deer which is where we believe she managed to tear both ACLs. Kona lives the life I would want to live if I were a dog. We bring her everywhere with us, she flys with us on planes, she gets to go on road trips to visit our families and almost never gets left behind. If she is left home she has her own dog door with access to the back yard and unlimited food and water as she is a good girl that is able to free feed. Super unexpected to go in for surgery to get a call saying we need to schedule the second knee surgery as soon as she heals. All this coming right after we found out where pregnant with our first child. That is why we are looking for help with the second surgery Kona has torn both of her ACLs. We went in for surgery this past Monday 8/3/20 where we anticipated the one leg surgery but were heart broken to find out it’s both knees and we have to come back in 8-12 weeks after she heals to do the other one. As she heals we will be having our first child and so we are reaching out in hopes of getting help on the second knee. Our vet is dr Eric Boehmer Kona is my emotional support dog. I at times have panic attacks and we have found that Kona can tell when something is wrong and will actually come sit next to me and lay on my chest when it’s needed if I can’t seem to get out of it on my own. She also love to give funny smiles with her head titled.

Herbie

Herbie is a 3-year-old Lab mix in loveland, CO, who needs $1,310 for heartworm treatment .

loveland, CO

I adopted Herbie in December 2019 after fostering him for 5 months. He is fear aggressive with strangers because of his abusive past but with some training we've been able to improve on his fears. He has made so many friends, two and four legged, and loves to work on tricks along with his behavior training.
