Dandy

Dandy is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Williston, VT, who needs $2,000 for Initial Exam and X-rays.

Williston, VT

We welcomed Dandy into our home 12 years ago. Dandy was my 16 year old daughters first pet and man do my daughter and Dandy have a beautiful bond. Dandy was named after a Dandelion (in fact that’s her full name) as this was my daughter’s favorite flower at the time. Dandy resides with me, my kiddos, plus her other kitty “siblings,” Dusty and Pablo. She is the mama of the kitty pack. Dandy recently began showing signs of back leg/hip pain. She is meowing in pain when she needs to walk or put pressure on her back end. Dandy is an agile, quick, and rambunctious kitty, but not recently. This pain is setting her back big time. She is a patient at the Hinesburg Veterinary Clinic which is where she will be seen to diagnose what’s going on. Dandy has the most unique and special personality. When you talk to her, she “talks” (meows) to you. We just love talking to her and hearing her “yap” back to us. She is loving, gentle and so kind. She is my daughter’s shadow still to this day. Whenever my daughter goes, Dandy is following right behind her. They’re two peas in a pod and the bestest of friends. Dandy’s kitty siblings just love her Unfortunately we are in such a tight financial situation right now that we do not have an emergency fund put aside. Dandy is part of our family, getting her treatment is non-negotiable. Any support or help towards allowing us to do this would mean the world to our family.

Margo

Margo is a 5 year old Labrador Retriever in Grand Isle, VT, who needs $2,000 for Treatment for Infection and Open Wound Management.

Grand Isle, VT

Five years ago, in the early days of the pandemic, Margo came into our lives like a spark of light. As a teacher, I was juggling remote learning from home with my daughters by my side—trying to make sense of a world that suddenly felt uncertain and heavy. Then came this tiny, joyful puppy, full of energy and love. Margo didn’t just lift our spirits—she healed something in us. She was our hope! Margo tore both ACLs in her knees...the experts say labs are the poster child for ACL injuries. We figured out how to afford TPLO (knee) surgery. Things were moving along well until July 3 when she couldn't walk on her left front leg. With tons of care, we learned she has an infection; no one knows why. Over the past 2 weeks she has been in and out of the hospital and vet fighting to survive. Margo is the sweetest yellow Lab—the wagging tail that brings our family together. Even now, after all she's been through, she wags for every vet, tech, and stranger she meets. She can barely walk, but she still tries to make us smile. Her love and resilience are what make her truly special. We planned for Margo’s TPLO surgery, but the unexpected infection and ongoing care have pushed us past our financial limits—especially with three daughters in college. Having Margo healthy again would mean everything to our family. Any help you can give would mean the world.
