Bear is a stray who showed up a few years ago. We aren’t sure how her tail got severed, just that she has been through a lot and deserves to be healthy and not in pain. She has an outgoing and vocal personality. She’s tough and she’s a snuggle bug. Bears trust has to be earned, but once it is she becomes a vital part of your day. She gets attached and loves to just be around you or curl up in your lap for hours. She’s very smart and tells you exactly what she needs. When she jumps in my lap she always puts her little paws on my chest to give me a kiss. Like she’s saying good morning my love. She waits at the door for me each morning while talking to try and wake me up. She has dog like traits that make her very smart and special. We have reached out to animal hospital and they said an initial appt to look at her would be 70 dollars. Then after that the online price for surgery is between 800-1000. We cannot afford to spend that as much as it hurts my heart to say so. As soon as she’s well (her tail is raw, immobile and badly infected) she will become my inside kitty and we will be inseparable. I bonded with her the second we laid eyes on one another!

I moved into my father in laws home about a year ago. Bear showed up here and just never left so I started taking care of her. She has had her tail chopped, or bit off by a fox we think, and the tiny nub that’s left she cannot move or use so she has a hard time using the bathroom. She is super smart and loves to talk to you and be loved on. She deserves this surgery she’s been through a lot. Bear comes to the door every morning telling me it’s time to get up. She cannot sleep inside until the surgery, bc feces is stuck on her backside always. Immediately she jumps or crawls into my lap so she can kiss me and get loved on.. Her poor tails been missing since I first laid eyes on her, and it breaks my heart. She’s so full of personality and high spirits lites despite her broken tail. She is extremely smart and listens to me better than most dogs would. She’s very vocal and will tell you exactly how she feels! I have bonded with her and we both just needed each other I think! I’m very afraid her tail will get infected and kill her. Her tail is only two inches long and hangs down limply. The animal hospital on waynesboro quoted us $800 to remove the nub so she can use the bathroom properly. Her overall life would be so much better and longer I’m sure. I recently lost my job and with one vehicle Between my husband and me it’s hard for us to juggle two jobs atm. It would be amazing to be able to let Bear be an inside cat! Plus to see her pain free would just be a blessing!

So is our only pet in a nine person household which some of the children have gone and got their own place he continues to be a protector of the younger children a great companion and alerter he was come from the SPCA after he was given up To a nap that she said he did and she was pregnant and getting ready to have another child he has never nip anyone And we’ve had him since 2009 he’s 12 years Bo sleeps inside the home he does go outside to the bathroom but he is not an outside dog or does he have facility housing outside he loves to go for a walk he also loves to play soccer and run with the kids his body may be 12 but his mind is still full of puppy years he loves to get treats and be walked and to play ball although he cannot play fetch he’s never learned how even though we’ve tried Let’s face it everybody has played catch up with Covid I also have had a couple other things happen due to it I have file taxes and I’m trying to wait for them to be processed although it just says it keeps processing file taxes back in February so hopefully they be soon his teeth need to be removed he now needs more teeth removed from last one in 2017 also has a small tumor on his left shoulder that needs to be removed and because of his age they would like it done together they do not want to do it separate because he will not survive be Anesthesia is very important to do it together due to his age and survival rate But was a great listener a lot of times he listens better than the children do I can tell him to go lay down and he goes straight and lays down you can stick food in front of him he will not eat it until you tell him to when he is outside of the yard he does not have to be chained up because he does never go out of the yard he alerts you to someone coming into your yard but it’s just so friendly
