Mumford
Mumford is a two-month-old Sphynx kitten in Oklahoma City, OK, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Oklahoma City, OK • Kanoa Rescue Foundation
* Kanoa Rescue Foundation * Mumford's case is heartbreaking and likely resulted from this rare cat breed being overbred by humans. The Sphynx kitten is only two months old and can barely walk. He crawls on the ground to move. Mumford's situation is dire. The Kanoa Rescue Foundation rushed him to an animal hospital, where his veterinary team discovered critical medical problems that need urgent care. "This little kitten is not growing and developing at the correct rate," Krystal C., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "His legs do not function properly, and it is suspected his hips are not placed correctly. Both issues are likely a result of poor genetics." Then the rescue got more bad news! "It is suspected he has a misplaced bladder, warranting the need for his caretakers to help him express it regularly," Krystal says. "He has a prolapsed rectum causing him discomfort. Both are contributing to dehydration and a very swollen belly. Mumford is also battling an upper respiratory infection that is threatening to turn into pneumonia." Poor Mumford is so young and facing so much. But after multiple tests, the rescue says the kitten may have a fighting chance! Despite his young age and the severity of his condition, there is still hope for Mumford. The rescue is determined to correct his health issues and set him on a path to recovery. However, his medical bills are mounting. Your support is crucial in ensuring Mumford's ongoing veterinary treatment. Please give so Mumford has a chance at survival! Update 8/13 Our handsome little Mumsie is growing up (slowly & at a stunted pace but he’s growing!). He has made so many improvements & is enjoying all the spoils in his foster home. He has been receiving TLC (literally around the clock ). He’s drinking water, eating, going to the litter box more, and his muscles are strengthening. We’re keeping things slow & steady with him, no rush on his development for us. We just want him to be happy & healthy.

Adeline
Adeline is a 1.5 month old Mix-Breed in Oklahoma City, OK, who needs $1,200 for Emergency Vet Stay and Testing.
Oklahoma City, OK • Kanoa Rescue Foundation
** Kanoa Rescue Foundation ** Adeline found herself in a high-kill overcrowded shelter as a 4-week-old baby. She was at risk of euthanasia simply due to space in the shelter. Kanoa Rescue Foundation found out about her situation, and stepped in to rescue her. Shortly after Adeline came into Kanoa Rescue, she had a very scary life-threatening incident. She started to crash, and all the signs seemed to point that she was going to pass. Thankfully, the wonderful Dr. Bays at Animal Wellness Center of OKC squeezed her and saved her. Her little veins were too small for even the smallest needles, so they had to put it in her back leg. After testing, all that showed up was that Adeline was mild anemic and slightly low blood sugar. Neither were severe enough to warrant her health scare. It is completely unknown why this happened. She had been eating normally, drinking, good body temp, all the good things you want to see in a kitten. What is known is that she is fine now and is already able to return home. She will be under heavy monitoring to be on the safe side. Adeline will undergo further testing to make sure she is well and to prevent any further scares. Little Adeline deserves a long happy life. This poor little kitten has now dodged death not just once but twice in just the short 5 weeks she has been alive. Please help Kanoa Rescue get testing done, so Adeline never has to face a life-threatening event ever again.

Ruby
Ruby is a 8-year-old Lab in Edmond , OK, who needs $1,000 for TPLO.
Edmond, OK
Ruby was rescued from a snow storm in 2015. She was the runt of the litter and we adopted her spring of 2016. Ruby has been along for every joy ride, for every sad day, and forever a foot print out our hearts. Ruby loves everyone. She’s never met a stranger. She is the laziest potato dog ever but would chase a squirrel to the day is done. Ruby loves our son and they play endlessly together. Ruby loves to chase squirrel but never harm a fly. She would bring Lukas different items as a baby when he would fuss, such as a slipper. She greets anyone with any object she finds and wants to share her love. Rubys favorite past time is making sure the cats don’t play and she’s included in every move. Ruby is a derpy lab who is steak of everything. She loves cats and dogs. But don’t bring a robot vacuum near her! She’s rather hold a hall then ever play fetch. She’s very loveable. Ruby thinks she’s a cat and likes to walk the back of the couch! Ruby loves to follow everyone from room to room and will race down the hall to find our son. She hates the car wash. Ruby is in fantastic health condition for an 8 yr old lab. She still has the spunk of a puppy. At this time, Ruby needs her knee replaced. Dr. brown will be performing the surgery and monitoring post care. My husband and I are both teachers. We adopted our son. 2000 would put a financial strain on us. Ruby can live out the rest of her life with a boy who thinks she’s the world.

Aspyn
Aspyn is a 4-month-old American Pitbull in Oklahoma City , OK, who needs $500 for Emergency Exam and Tests.
Oklahoma City, OK
I adopted him from a neighbor in my apt complex. Got him on my Mom's birthday...Sep 12th. He was sent to me from heaven. I love him!! He lives with me, his doggy sister, in an apartment. He has settled in real well. He does see a few of his litter mates, that were also adopted out. Mainly his brothers. He is a very happy boy! Aspyn sleeps in his crate and has some stuffed animals in there, for comfort. He loves to play tug and play with his doggy sister, Pyper. She is 12 years old Catahoula. They drive each other crazy! Lol They walk side by side. He just loves being with me and Pyper. He is such a sweet boy. He loves everyone and has doggy friends too. He has toys that my other dog, Pyper, has played with. Plus he loves squeaky toys. But loves to play tug with Pyper or with me. He loves his doggy friends, that live near us. He hears them bark and he gets so excited. Plus he has a lot of energy and my senior dog is acting like a pup herself. It's great to see that. I vaccinated him myself, like the previous owner did. He had no reaction. But this second booster has caused something wrong. I am disabled and on SSI. I have tried other payments places and I don't qualify, as I am low income. I lost my beloved Border Collie, Bella, one year ago at the age of 13. It broke my heart and I cannot lose Aspyn, not that I just got him. I am on SSI as I am disabled. I can't lose him. I love him, as much as I love my other dog, Pyper. I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am worried sick over him.
