Nephthys (Neffy) Soft Paws

Nephthys (Neffy) Soft Paws is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Laporte, CO, who needs $2,000 for Caudectomy.

Laporte, CO

Queen Nephthys *Neffy* crossed literal desserts to come live with us over 3 years ago. Nef is such a loving and fierce companion to Shaka and her two children Koha and Kai. She is an invaluable member of the family and provides this little life with so much joy, comfort and love. A sweet and loving, single parent home, that could use some community compassion in hard times. Recently Nef was attacked by a dog and needs emergency tail amputation due to her injury. As a single mom, Shaka can use all the help they can get to ensure Nef a safe/speedy recovery. Her current care is being provided for by Moore Animal Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. Neffy is a hilarious and vivacious little critters. She is curious and very social, she loves snuggles with humans and playing with her kid sisters and her toys! She was once a great adventurer who crossed deserts to be rescued. She loves life and her little family and provides them with immense love abd comfort. As a single mom with mounting expenses, this emergency has really added to the financial strain of carrying a family/home through unprecedented economic times. I work/pay my bills and often assist community members in raising emergency funds in mutual aid. I need help now.

Ruby

Ruby is a 4-year-old Pit Lab Mix in Westminster, CO, who needs $2,000 for ACL and CCL Repair.

Westminster, CO

Ruby was introduced to our family just before the COVID19 quarantine. She was the perfect addition to our family during hard times. Ruby is a 4 year old pitfall lab mix with a big personality. She's adventurous, smart, gentle, and well behaved. Ruby has a special place in our family and loves being around people. She usually sleeps in her bed in the living room during family time and sleeps in a human bed whenever she can. She loves her cuddles! Ruby is deadly afraid of balloons but loves to sit at the window and watch people walking their dogs. She loves playing tug of war and making friends at the dog park (if she's not busy chasing squirrels). When Ruby had her x-rays done by Animal Works Surgery Center, we were told that she had fully torn her ACL in her left leg and partially torn the same ligament in her right leg. Ruby will need two different surgeries to fix the full and partial tears in both her legs. Ruby is being sedated to keep her from putting any pressure and stress on her legs and keep her from feeling the pain when walking. I am an unemployed, full time college student living with my parents. I have three brothers and sisters and our income can not support our families basic needs and the surgeries that Ruby requires or we would need to put her down.

Toby

Toby is a 9-year-old Chi-Weenie in Greeley, CO, who needs $1,800 for cystotomy.

Greeley, CO

Toby was rescued in April of 2015 and the story goes he chose me. He was a timid little fellow at the rescue and I wasn't even sure he would want to interact. When I got there, we went on a walk to get to know each other. I sat down in the grass and he climbed in my lap. We've been connected ever since. Toby is the reason I'm still here today. When I went through a very rough time in 2015, he was there by my side, giving me a reason to get up and keep going. He is known as the little poop sausage in the house, which sounds mean, but it's really a term of endearment. I think he still wishes he was an only child, but interacts well with the other animals in the house. Toby is generally known as the crotchety, middle-aged alcoholic going through a midlife crisis. He's sassy and perky with many opinions. He is weirdly picky about food, but has gotten better now that there's competition. Toby loves car rides and adventures, and he enjoys spending time in the swing. He is consistently bullied by the cats and doesn't love his brother, but is obsessed with his mama. Toby has been diagnosed with bladder stones. Unfortunately, they have descended into his urethra, blocking off his ability to urinate. Right now, he needs surgery to remove the blockage so his bladder doesn't burst. He's under care from our primary vet and has already spent time in the ER to try and treat his pain and discomfort. The cost of the surgery is significantly more than I can currently afford. We're scraping together everything we can with grants, requests, and payment plans. Any help is greatly appreciated.
